Hey guys, just got my semester grades back, got a 3.4 which raised my gpa from 3.04 to 3.07, is it worth sending schools the updated transcript/a message?

Anybody have any updates with Michigan PIBS? Are they done sending out interview invites?

From the results page (Michigan PIBS): "Received a call from a faculty member in pharmacology; she said the adcom for PIBS had their long meeting this morning, and students can expect emails with more information about interviews this Thurs or Fri. She also stated that there will be two weekends to choose from. I hope to see some of you there!" I would say cue nail biting, but stress levels have reached 11 already. O__________O

Cell and Molecular Bio. Not sure about the other departments though.

Just called Wisconsin-Madison, their committee meets the first full week of January (starting the 6th) and will most likely start sending out interview invites by the 8th.

Usually how it works is that they send the majority of interview invites in December and early January, and then after some people decline interviews (scheduling problems, lack of interest, etc), they send out final interview invites by February for most programs. Then they start sending out admissions offers, and once they've got a good sense of how many people are actually interested in attending, they send out final offers to a handful of people who would have originally been on the fence. Hence why some people get in without an interview.

"Hi, just had a question about -insert program name here-, when do you think interview invites will be sent out?" -answer- "Thanks!" Easy!

Can confirm, called UT-Austin and they still have a few invites to send out.

Well, if you're applying through PIBS, they don't really start sending out invites til the end of the week.

UT-Austin sent out most of their interview offers today T.T But a few more will be sent out after winter break, so there's still hope!

Just got off the phone with Michigan PIBS, their committee meets this week and invites should be sent out by 20th/23rd. Cue nail-biting.

Just submitted my last application, Health Science Center San Antonio. Gah feels good to be done, but I still am nervous about waiting!

Molecular and Cellular Bio PhD, through email. I mean, I'm applying with a 3.04 GPA, so if anyone was gonna get hit by the numbers filter it would be me. But that's fine, it was a stretch school and I applied to multiple schools for this very reason.

Well, I should hear back from most of these programs in the next week or two, so hopefully I'll get some interview invites soon!

First update, just got hit by the semi-mythical University of Washington numbers net, but not the only one apparently, good luck to all the other applicants!
