Rejected. So depressed now.

I doubt they look at the applications until after the deadline and everything is probably organized my name or stats by then but I'm not sure at all. I still don't understand why schools can't notify us all at once. It makes me think they actually decide at the very last minute.. katieliz456: I'm surprised they waitlisted you, you have amazing stats!

Congrats! Are you in CA or out-of-state?

I thought we would be hearing our decisions through email...are the phone calls only for acceptances and the emails for rejections/waitlist then?

How friendly are the professors and other students? I've heard that they could be a bit stand-offish/cold.

That person has to be trolling. There's no way they released decisions yesterday when someone said they were going to notify us today.

Nope. I'm freaking out that I'm going to get hit with two rejections today, one from TC and one from SDSU :/ And I wish people who were accepted into TC would post their stats on the results page. A few of them aren't and it's driving me crazy.

I think they're doing it by stats. Like highest to lowest stats since everyone who has been accepted so far have amazing stats. Hopefully.

I believe they just pick someone off of the waitlist so I'm not concerned about backing out (they probably make more money by having twice the amount of deposits). But I would have mixed feelings if I was accepted through the waitlist but had put down $500 for another school that I couldn't get back, which could have gone towards books or something.

Ugh, nothing for me All of those stats are amazing (all of the GPAs are 3.9 and above!) which does not bode well for me at all. I was probably rejected, wish they would just tell me already :/

What do you do if you're on the waitlist for one school (let's say your top choice) but you put down a deposit for another school on April 15th and then find out that a spot opened up for the school you're waitlisted on afterwards? Can you tell the school that you put down a deposit for that you won't be attending after all? I'm assuming you lose the deposit?

Well, were you even able to submit it after Jan 15th and would they have considered it?

I guess it just creates a more competitive environment? I'm just expecting a rejection. I've looked at the past stats on the results page and I just know I'm going to get rejected because of my stats, especially if they do favor in-state applicants more.

Oh god, that is so soon! I'm freaking out, so nervous Is it true that CSU don't accept anyone from out of state or something? I've been hearing that floating around and I wonder if maybe I shouldn't have applied at all.

That's awesome that he has such a flexible lifestyle that he can just go with you to wherever. And I think being apart for a year and still going strong just shows that you two will be fine I feel like I'm waiting for you to hear back from your schools as anxiously as I'm waiting to hear back from my schools. I can't wait for March to be over!

They were so insistent that everything should be received in-office by Jan 10 (earlier than some other schools) and it's really annoying that it took them this long to make the actual decision. I hope they've spent the past 2 months just carefully reading each application.

Aww My boyfriend of 3 years and I broke up while I was working on my applications. I'm just relieved that I can go anywhere without worrying about someone. It seems like USC is going through their waitlist pretty early so that's not as bad as other schools. You might hear some good news! And people get accepted by their reach and not the one they expected to hear from pretty often It really makes me sad/angry that all of the programs you applied to are taking their sweet time getting back to you!
