I have no idea what their deal is. I got an email yesterday directing me to the website to view my rejection letter. I'm comparative if it helps at all.

Lonestarflag, I'm with you on that. Harvard is my last school, so I'm just thinking as if I'll be going to my top choice acceptance now. It will be over soon enough!

Ha! I actually think that doing something you're passionate about that is not exactly related to polisci can help a lot if you spin it well in your SOP. You certainly don't have to build a school in Cambodia or live in a Vietnamese refugee camp, but if you get involved in volunteering, non-profit work, etc, and then relate your passion for that stuff to your academic interests, that might help. I'm sorry this cycle wasn't what you'd hoped for.

Haha hopefully there are very few college confidential members in my classes. These kids are like...I have a 5.0 GPA, I got a 2400 on the SAT, I was the president of every club in my school, I built a school for blind kids in Cambodia, and my essays are about my experiences growing up as a refugee in Vietnam. Like...what?! And then everyone else on there tells them they won't get in to Harvard....

That website ruined my life when I was applying to college!!!
