ACCEPTED MDev Unfortunately no scholarship. Guess I am the first one to know from the deferred applicants. Though I haven't received an official email yet! As for everyone else waiting I hope you guys get through with full scholarship! Loads of wishes

Okay so well having been at the end of receiving the rejection letter once,I can assure you that the rejective is personalised. It will start with Mr./Ms. yourlastname and then the whole standard email. Also I am hoping everyones receives acceptances if not scholarships! Good luck everyone. P.S. - I have started freaking out as I havent received an official acceptance email from IHEID yet. Given that they say that only when you receive the email is your acceptance binding. I am really anxious. :/

Okay so well last year what i wrote was an essay on development as my personal statement rather than why i actually wanted to do the course and other reasonings. So in short, my SOP sucked. Hence the rejection. This year I started working on my personal statement from July and before shaping up the final one, I had some 40 drafts. So in a way you can say that I actually worked my ass off on it! As for your last question, I love the curriculum at ScPo but I somehow dont want to give up Geneva as a location. Plus there is the whole funding thing. So I am equally leaning on both the sides. I am hoping for a good response for funding from ScPo so if that works out, i am definitely going to ScPo and if not then IHEID.

So well I checked my online application follow up status and well what do you know! ACCEPTED MDev Unfortunately no scholarship and it remains refused as yesterday which means it wasn't a technical fault. Nevertheless thanks for the support you guys! Guess I am the first one to know from the deferred applicants. Haha irony! Though I haven't received an official email yet! Okay so I just emailed IHEID and Ms Eicher just got back to me with this. I think it might be very well be a glitch. She said the following. "Dear Angel, Thank you for your message. You will receive tomorrow morning the decisions on both admission and scholarship. Please, be patient, Best regards, Paola Eicher" So well there might just be home and silver linings and all. Sigh. Relieved. Happy.

Yes if by the official IHEID working timings I dont hear from them. I shall mail them. Though have you heard of such a thing happening?

Thank you you guys! Its just frustrating to have such unusual thing happening. It just doesnt makes sense that I am neither accepted or rejected for admission but I am refused for scholarship. They either give admissions first or both the admission and scholarship result together. I am really hoping it is nothing but a technical glitch. @Sanfan - yes i am eagerly waiting for the email to come so that i have a clear view of what exactly is going on. @Cai - Thats so true and on an ideal level does makes sense but right now on a realistic "I-am-broke, i need scholarship" level it unfortunately doesnt help. @Mych - Haha I am sure Paris would have the worlds best wine and equally good cheese but I dont drink wine and i am not a fond of cheese but I get your reference about seeing the silver lining behind these dark IHEID clouds.

Well my application is still under condition. Plus what good is admittance without funding? I mean OFCOURSE it's good for ppl who can afford to go but still.

Eiffel Scholarship comes first. If i dont get it then ScPo will consider me for Emile!!

I am going to apply to Aga Khan and Inlanks scholarship! So yep, there still hope. Though I have heard that both prefer UK or US schools than European ones.

Okay so something really weird happened on my application status. While my application status is in consideration, my scholarship application by IHEID was refused. Well here goes the geneva dream out of the window. Congratulations to all the acceptances and good luck to people waiting!
