  1. The bigger question is, why the hell is IHEID not taking their results out. Its 4th March already!!
  2. I know right! I am happy too they included any other univs apart from LSE
  3. Which programme did you apply for? Anyway congratulations on your acceptance
  4. Oh yes. It's 13 now before that it was 16. Still I don't think it matters cuz in that sense, IHEID has never been in rankings, like ever. At least I haven't seen it.
  5. I did come across this but the non -EU students cannot do this. Living in Paris along with visa issues is only applicable for the EU students. So well the other international students are at a loss.
  6. I don't think that they informed everyone only by the 14th-15th. I think people posted it on these days. Also I think we can expect decisions tricking from today. Let's see. I wish I could stop speculating. ;/
  7. Good point. I wish we could get in touch with some IHEID alumni who could give us both pros and cons of studying there. This totally makes sense. If I look from this perspective, geneva is the deal then cuz as Alchyna mentioned few posts back, "there were 3 times more job openings in IOs in Geneva than in comparison to London/Paris". So well!
  8. I got it in 10 days! This is one thing I like about all UK schools, they are all pretty much have rolling admissions hence the decisions are posted real soon. Like all my results from UK schools didn't take more than 3 weeks.
  9. I think what curious grad wanted to say was that given that 1st & 2nd March was a weekend. It's quite plausible that IHEID posts their decision starting today. Anyway sincere request guys, pls whatever your status, be it accepted, refused or wait listed. Do post it. Tons of good luck and good wishes
  10. Oh yay! Thanks for sharing this Katrun. I was pretty paranoid about food as I start puking the min I have to eat non-veg. One problem solved, few more to go. Btw Katrun you have interesting choices in your bag, rather some really good schools. What is your top choice?
  11. Thanks for this info! Idk if I have asked you this question but how is Geneva for Vegetarians? Any idea?
  12. Full scholarship as in tuition plus living expenses. This mean she gets 18000 CHF + exemption from tuition fees. She hasn't paid for anything apart from her visa, flight tickets and misc expenses on arrival.
  13. I was talking to one of my friend whose currently living there. She said that one meal like a proper one meal costs her something like 50-70 chf and she hasn't gone out for food after that. She cooks and buys her grocery from Paris cuz it's wayyyy too cheap there in comparison to Geneva. Though she received full scholarship from the institute.
  14. You know I researched a lot like a lot before I decided my schools rather my top choices. I came across several like several rankings and what not. Generally the only schools listed are either from the US or from UK that too primarily from London. So somehow I do not trust these rankings. Exactly. I totally agree with the first school and the last hold out theory. I feel the freaking same. Plus I am sometimes leaning towards ScPo while sometimes to SOAS and now even IDS. While I have been in touch with some indian banks who are quite willing to loan me money for tuition but not so much for living expenses. Idk. Plus the whole scholarships they offer are generally for the first year and only 10% people get it renewed the next year. Either way I am quite interested in going to IHEID but I just somehow have some nagging doubts about something or the other.
  15. I don't think that IHEID DOESNT have a brand name. Guaranteed it's a small school but where it's supposed to matter, it does matter. Esp In the field of international affairs, so either way you can't go wrong.
  16. Boy your friend was so damn right about this. I want to just stop fussing over it but I somehow can't. Let's see what tomorrow holds for all of us. I too just keep wondering if the school is that amazing or the fact that I want to get in is making me this crazy. Nice way to put it across. Btw which course have you applied for? Yeah I am hoping for the similar scenario.
  17. Comes in location (both personal & professional reasons) !
  18. Yeah I know how it is. Last year I too only applied to IHEID and no where else. Unfortunately I was denied admission. Hence I took a year off and worked on my application. So I a hoping for a positive response this time. In any case good luck with your other entrances and IHEID result
  19. Yay!! Everybody's got signatures. & we are still anxiously checking our pages and freaking out about IHEID decisions. That being said, we all basically have IHEID as our top choice. I was just wondering why is that, apart from the location and the low tuition fee! Anyone willing to share?
  20. Oh well it's not my field but I can go through it if you want!
  21. I hope so we hear back the next week for sure. I too thought of emailing them and asking for information but then they have already mentioned 1-15th March so well I don't want to put unnecessary questions. Yes I know what you mean about waiting for 4 months, I feel for every person who applied for the early deadline and have been waiting since forever. :/
  22. We sure can try, though i am not sure, they will take that in consideration.
  23. No problem. Happy to help Anyway yes I am so excited myself regards September. I am counting days but before that I want IHEIDs result!
