  9. Oh well that's really amazing Katrun. Congratulations once again! Also good luck with the whole situation you mentioned. I do think that their offer isn't binding once you accept it but with you being awarded the scholarship, it sure complicates it. In any case, I hope it solves out. Btw which school is your top choice?

  14. Okay so my field of interest is international development, women empowerment and child rights. So I worked with an international organisations working on these issues. I was a Research & Documentation intern there. While at the other foundation, I taught children life skills like art & craft, self defence, singing, dancing etc. So yep it did teach me tons and I am really happy I took a gap year. With that, I agree with Chadillac that's it was more like a professional development phase.

  17. Congratulations Katrun. I have applied to the Emile Boutmy scholarship too. Haven't hear back. Which one did you receive? I mean what about if you don't mind me asking. Also be assured we will keep you informed with the slightest info we get. Anyway good luck for Haiti and congratulations once again.

  19. Okay so I took a gap year this year after completing my under graduation last year. I had applied to only one school last year for post grad and was rejected. It was world shattering. I went into idk pseudo depression for a while but then I geared up and well decided to fully utilise the year. During my gap year I started interning at two places, with that I read on articles and started working on my personal statement, CV, anything which could make my application better. Now I have 7 acceptances in hand and plus 2 more pending. I reapplied to the school where I was rejected last year. Though I am wait listed there but still! So gap year can be used for anything to everything! Read books, volunteer, intern, make your apps much better, take a job or just chill for a lil while. In any case, good luck

  21. Hello! I too have been accepted by ScPo for my masters. I am from India hence I have no clue about the prospects in the USA. Though I know few people are in the same situation as you. The thing is it depends if you only are focused on US govt or US based INternational Organisation OR are you willing to explore other options like working in Paris or Geneva etc. Cuz the general consensus is that if you want to work in a specific country you should get your education from there, esp post grad. Pls don't take this literally cuz is am sure there will be MANY exceptions to it. But still, these are my two cents! Apart from that, the school is quite recognised in the Social Sciences circle so I don't think you will face any problems regarding credibility.
  22. Hi Fikries, I have absolutely no clue about this. I guess you can attend their web session and then can find out for yourself or email them regarding this. Though I am sure everyone knows by March regarding their scholarships! Have you been admitted in the MIA programme already?
