Well hello fellow Indian As for your whole low GPA thing, I am sure your work ex should make up for it. Though if you have justified the reasons for it being low in the first place, I think that's excellent. Though I hope it was a. Proper explanation and not an excuse. Anyway your background sounds wonderful and I really think you have a good shot at IHEID. Anyway good luck with not only IHEID but other schools too. & welcome abroad on the thread

If I recall correctly, these people only consider you for scholarship when you have been accepted by the institute. Also they have a parallel list for scholarship where people are admitted, rejected or wait listed. So I guess only when others withdraw or reject their offer will you get to know your fate. Nevertheless all the best

Well my application was deferred too. Though this is what I got from IHEID people. "Further to the review of your application, it has been decided that your application will be reassessed with the second round of selection early next year. Your application has been neither admitted nor refused at this stage and the commission postponed their decision in order to give it further consideration during the second round. You will therefore be informed of a final decision in March." Though I applied for masters in Development Studies so well I think the procedure might diff or something. In any case good luck!

Hahaha! Hey you guys! Alchyna is so right. IHEID is like buzzer which shakes us all in one go! Anyway so the thing on the whole admitted students jazz is, well these are students who were admitted during the Dec deadline. I got worked up myself but then I snooped around and found that out. (FB link, which mickun88 posted) So nope nothing new on the application statuses but as mickun88 mentions,March is the end game! Good luck to each and everyone

Well I thanked my profs profusely for writing my LORs. Though I do check my application follow up page every once in a while to see if there is any message from the admission committee regarding a document or anything. Apart from anxiously waiting, I don't think you can do anything else. Either way, Good Luck !
