  1. Did you accept your offer or are you waiting to hear from U of T? Sorry, just curious because you indicated that you "had" but I also noticed you have not yet heard from U of T either. Congratulations on your offer to York
  2. @social work 93 - confirmation that York or U of T has sent out all acceptances?
  3. Congratulations on your offer to U of T If you don't mind me asking when did you find out about your acceptance?
  4. I have been using the same strategies as you in addition to distracting myself with the various events that go along with being part of a wedding party! That helps to occupy some of the time I spend stressing but I am also super speedy at planning so I think I've exhausted that distraction method. At the risk of sounding juvenile or as if I have completely gone over the edge - I bought this book and plan to doodle and colour some of the pictures this weekend while catching up on some TV shows: http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/en-ca/books/enchanted-forest-an-inky-quest/9781780674889-item.html I forgot how relaxing anything craft or art related can be until I did so much baking that I've nearly run out of space to keep things in the freezer
  5. Laurier does not do any admissions updates online, they will send a letter or email. U of T updates ROSI to "Invited" if you have been accepted, also you can verify with the SGS website in which case your status "Under Review" will have changed to "Decision Made" and you will received a package in the mail a few days later. Please note SGS is not always consistent in terms of timing with these updates but does occur after your ROSI account has been updated. Otherwise, your ROSI will say "No Registration History" if you have been wait listed or rejected. HOWEVER, as of right now U of T seems to be doing rolling admissions in which case only applicants who have been accepted have had their ROSI statuses changed to "Invited" and received a package in the mail. Therefore if your ROSI currently says "No Registration History" it does not necessarily mean you have been wait listed or rejected yet since not all offers have been sent out. You will know if you have been wait listed or rejected once you receive a letter in the mail and if your SGS account has changed from "Under Review" to "Decision Made" with your ROSI status as "No Registration." It is still relatively early for all admissions decisions to be made, both Laurier and U of T have indicated all final decisions will be made from Mid-March to Mid-April.
  6. You can try searching last year's forum if no one replies here
  7. it's the anticipation that has me stressed haha
  8. I imagine they probably have restricted access to it while they're reviewing applications. From reading posts from previous years, Laurier is pretty consistent with the time they start sending out emails and letters as well as their method of informing applicants via email then mail.
  9. She probably needed a day off from us haha All joking aside maybe someone else does the updating for ROSI, but either way we're stuck waiting for awhile hope everyone is managing!
  10. My understanding is that appears to have been an issue since February for a majority of people.
  11. You may not be seeing a lot of McMaster MSW posters in these last few pages given that us 2 Year MSW applicants are starting to receive letters of acceptances/rejection/wait list. However, I do know of a few graduates from that program who speak very highly of it Best of luck!
  12. @wishingonuoft I should specify that by "highest scoring" I am not implying that it is based on grades alone, you clearly have some considerable experiences whether they be personal, work or volunteer related in addition to great references and your statements of interest. Again, congratulations!
  13. Someone feel free to correct me, but my understanding from someone else is that the department would pick some of their highest scoring applicants and send out offers to these students and wait for a response to determine how many more acceptance to send out opposed to sending all accepted applicants an admission offer at once along with the wait-listed candidates. Additionally, deadlines are given to accepted applicants as to when they must respond. I believe doing it this way helps determine how many applicants to send a wait-list letter/email opposed to a rejection letter and quite possibly move some applicants onto the accepted list if a certain amount of applicants reject early on.
  14. I keep going back to that thought as well, but it just seems strange that any acceptances would have been sent out at all if not all applications had been reviewed. I agree with some of the other posters that they are likely doing rolling admissions which would make sense as to why they are still accepting any updates to CV's/Resumes.
  15. ...I went home last Friday and made 4 dozen healthy brownies (Avocado Peppermint, Orange, Peppermint and plain dark chocolate goodness). But I will take some of that lasagna haha
  16. @Bettyg it's definitely tempting to email or call, but I keep trying to tell myself it's still early. I find it extremely difficult to stay focused and I should pull out the camomile tea and put down the cafe americanos hahah However, I feel so drained from constantly wondering about this that I justify the extra caffeine boost!
  17. @ash_d19 despite being all over the place today I've still managed to obsessively check this forum and ROSI on my phone, this is a sad monday haha I actually prefer Laurier's method of snail mail because right now even though I know it's still early for u of t it's discouraging and causes more anxiety
  18. I've been getting my mail checked and so far nothing there either
  19. I hear you both! My work schedule has me in 3 different cities tomorrow, on one hand I know that'll help keep me from obsessively checking ROSI but I hope I will be able to actually focus
  20. @mostlymaggie hopefully the picture answers your question more clearly regarding U of T and ROSI
  21. @christina2 when you go to google and type in LORIS admissions are you logging into that first page? When I do it shows error if I click "online form" which was the case several weeks ago. But I was just wondering for those who were accepted for advanced standing if "Full Time" on that login page changes. If I recall email/snail mail seems to be updated first for laurier...just curious and letting my mind wander too much! @mostlymaggie welcome! Only 3 posters on here have indicated they received an acceptance according to their online status on ROSI on Friday, if you have where it once said "no registration" should say invited. This is still very early though, which still doesn't seem to comfort me. Unfortunately, I've had issues with another application so this waiting is really stressing me out!
  22. Advanced Standing Laurier applicants, did anything change on your LORIS page once you received an acceptance?
  23. It is still early and I definitely understand the urge to email Angela, but I would definitely try to hold out until Friday of next week. Even though I believe more offers will continue to be sent out following next week waiting until the end of next week is technically closer to mid-March and will give you more of an excuse to contact her since letters could be sitting in the post office as we speak! It's best to use your one email wish wisely I unfortunately have used mine to send in an updated CV!
  24. @Christina2 I checked my mail and nothing
