Advisers not able to help with Grad School questions.
Pol replied to Disaprovingrabbit's topic in Political Science Forum
This might be true of America, but my personal experience is that it is the opposite elsewhere. You would not believe the number of qualitative researchers that told me that quant is useless and brings nothing to political science. -

"I suck at quant therefor it is shit" Cool. Good luck in grad school if you get in. -

I don't think it's foolish. He's a good fit at Carleton. Plus, I think it's not financially smart to get in debt to study. Funding influenced my personal choices too. My funding is quite copious and it seriously makes graduate life much better. -

His "funding offer" for Toronto was a joke, like 2000$ for the year or something. As for Ottawa, to put it politely, it is of lesser quality. -

A three legged dog with alzheimer would be accepted in UO's masters program. (I have yet to hear about somebody not getting in) -
Based on the statistics of previous contests it means you're at about 50% chances of getting an award or the other. It can be transferred to a US school BUT if you have a CGS-D (35K) you need to downgrade to a doctoral award(20K).

Your analogy, the root of your argument, is flawed. An application isn't a service or goods you pay for.

So... do I have a chance (Canadian IR Masters)?
Pol replied to HowDoIGradSchool's topic in Political Science Forum
Of course you all have a chance, this is Canada. -
Gotta love the smell on entitlement.

I've been a member for a year now but don't work there per se. They give out cool scholarships every year, keep an eye open for those. They bankrolled my stay at the ICPSR.

You can do better on the GRE randomly guessing, my suggestion is to retake it and instead of actually trying to answer just guess.

Whatever you do, do it in \LaTeX.
