  1. Hey y'all! Used to lurk on here when I was freaking out a few years ago about the MFA - my fiance is in this pool and my thoughts have been going out to all you applicants! Turns out Wisconsin - Madison just sent out notices. My fiance was accepted! Now we are wondering about funding for the program - anyone have specifics on what review is like this year for the program?? Again, good luck to you all!!
  2. Agreed. I accepted my position at IU and I thought my head was going to explode when I visited. I felt immediately at home, everyone genuine and the art community seems strong. Didn't hurt that I'm working under my favorite artist, either ha Can't wait to meet all y'all in Bloomington
  3. Whoa hey! Just checked this forum for the first time in months, glad I did! Congrats to everyone who got in and to my new fellow Hoosiers! I'm moving to Bloomington in about 2 1/2 weeks and am stoked to start the MFA (I'll be starting the MFA in Ceramics, stoked for life about it) Meeting up sounds awesome, I already have visited and fell in love with my department mates but it for sure would be nice to get together with the other majors.
  4. I have been, they are messaging before I can take the applications out. Also was accepted to RIT today and had to draft an email explaining I took the offer from Indiana already.
  5. Just got denied from Penn State. Not sure if anyone here was waiting on info from there, but they seem to be messaging folks. Good luck, everyone!
  6. It is indeed, glad the wait is over. It's four years of building work and studio time since the first attempt, glad its finally paying off. Was 0/5 first round and hit exactly where I wanted to this time, DONT GET DISCOURAGED EVERYONE!
  7. Was just called by Malcolm Mobutu Smith, was accepted to Indiana University - Bloomington w/ funding!
  8. Waiting on UC - Boulder for Ceramics, no word either. I'll keep my ear to the ground!
  9. The weather must have something to do with it, tough racket these owls have. Luckily these arctic storms have stopped, so maybe they'll be able to fly out soon.
  10. Pause - Just looked at the "Results Search" and someone has listed, "Beauxbatons Academy of Magic - Masters in Poitions, Waitlisted" I'm dying laughing right now, made my day whoever listed that. The wait listed put it over the edge, good form whoever thought that one up.
  11. Yup! I applied for Ceramics, but I think RIT was a stretch for me. Congrats!
  12. Waiting on Iowa also, different program but still no word. Good luck!
  13. I swear if my gmail could break from overuse it would be broken. I must hit the refresh button 1000 times a day.
  14. Just checked my Penn State status check, it was that a decision has been reached but doesn't say what the decision is. Killing me, smalls.
  15. Hey yellowbear, I have a friend who has been asked for a phone interview tomorrow (2/20), she's preparing for it as we speak. That's all I have heard :/ Good luck!
  16. Got a phone call from Texas Tech today, was accepted! They are gonna message me later this week about funding, stoked beyond belief.
  17. I can tell ya Alfred hasn't notified yet, I know a good bit of folks that applied there. Additionally, ASU will take a little longer since they have more applicants than most (Shy of Alfred, but understandable for the top ceramic school since they give that crazy funding package)
  18. Congrats! How did Syracuse inform you, email? - I applied to 'Cuse as well, different department
  19. If you have any questions about UGA feel free to shoot me a message. Spent the better part of the last decade living there/loving life, have mostly good things to say about that school and Athens. For sure an Athenian for life.
  20. I gave them a ring and the admissions desk was able to give me verbal confirmation of my materials. I haven't received any email confirmation either, but I do seem to be having trouble with my letters of recommendation at Indiana. Two out of the three professors are receiving messages that their letters are in the wrong format? Profs are saying otherwise. They certainly have been giving me the most trouble.
  21. Hell yeah! Glad others love it as much as I did. Best community I could have asked for.
