So as I mentioned, I've turned down Baylor, but at this late stage in the game, I don't think I'll be coming off the wait list at Iowa. Heart: broken! Ah well, next year...

Yes, thank you. I don't think there is any reason to base your estimation of any person's intelligence on where they did or did not go to school, or even if they did at all.

Hmm, I'm not sure you'll find something that includes appliances, allows medium-sized dogs, and is nice (as you've described nice) for under $800. I sort of wonder if the person who posted those results meant to indicate Iowa State rather than UIowa.

Oh, no, I didn't think you were snarky! I apologize if I sounded terse, I'm coming off a 7p-7a shift plus class from 830-1120, so at this point I'm running on fumes!

The state's in a huge budget crisis and our new (old) governor is keen to strip anything he can from the public universities, so it's not surprising.

I asked, and a quick review of the timeline for past years makes it obvious as well.

It'll be another two-ish weeks for Iowa at least, so don't be too anxious.
