They mixed up my GRE scores as well and were annoyed when I called them to tell them that I had already sent them. Application fees are normal though.

I have no idea how they do it I am just waitin' around haha and, if it is the case of consensus we might not receive news since they have to send it to the graduate school next. could be longer than we thought.

If Madison sticks with snail mail this year I should be one of the first to hear anything (not that I am expecting to be accepted but hoping to me). I live in Milwaukee so I would think the mail would get here pretty quick...I'll be sure to post if things do go my way!

Totally agree with this and what ReallyNiceGuy said above. I was thinking of inseatd of avoiding my email just have it go off on my phone when I get something ( I don't currently have my university email hooked into my phone other than if I go on the browser to access it). Then I decided that if I did that, I would be more anxious because my phone would buzz all the time due to conference planning committees and all of the listservs I am on. So I decided that just checking at certain times is best. However, when I see all the unread messages, I always HOPE something is buried there ha

Congrats to the Yale admits! With 4 posted on here, I would presume most invites to the visit day are sent out!

Definitely agree with this and have heard the same from both faculty, office staff, and students. Here's to hoping for the best!

We'll see how it goes. I think that looking at the fact that they did it over 2 days last year might mean nothing. Just depends on how the DGS works...I sure hope you are right though.

thanks for the details! yeah pretty sure there is a gap between acceptances and funding....I have visited madison in years past and yes funding can be on a term by term basis and SUPER competitive; however, it is Madison!

haha that is true, but I bet that most people will take a Yale offer...they could be sending some out tomorrow too! who knows! it ain't over til it's over but I sure wish they would just send out definitive news ha!

I think because they wanted to move this discussion about who is claiming what result to this one....I feel like they could all be in the same one but some people wanted result talk in this one...I could move over though ha! totally could be coming out in larger batches or the DGS is just working on different ones at different times. Seems though that the results will be coming out this week for Yale if they are starting now!

another Yale up...seems like they are sending notes to international students first....(maybe based on how they are being posted could be different) but seems they are being sent out now....who knows though...I just keep speculating and freaking out! oddly enough posting here makes me feel better! ha

Tis probably a bit more complicated than that in the sense of different offers and different decisions being made based on fields! Maybe consider setting email rules! I check my email at night which is working for me!

I like that with certain schools you can know when to expect news....if all schools did that this would be MUCH less stressful.

I would think so (or hope so). Welp, there go my nerves! I am definitely not expecting acceptance (I think that at such competitive schools it is hard to) but I have this dumb sense of hope! ha!

haha not I! it is an international student with a US degree...I will keep you posted though...from years past it seems normal that they send out stuff this week. If it is the DGS who emailed that person...seems that most news would be sent out soon!

Ugh! I am starting to feel like this every day since we never really know when we are going to get news! I am still being fairly productive but just absolutely anxious! Probably doesn't help that this term I am not on a very rigorous schedule; I have a lot of work do to but only Spanish 10-11AM MWF and class 6-8 Tuesdays so I have a lot of time to just be by myself and think about it!

woohoo! the storm is beginning! I hope this is the case...now I will be frantically checking my email as much as I try not to!

They told me that they were doing some interviews February 7 so this Friday. They said to expect to hear back later this month.

So do you think this means news by the end of the monthish? Especially if they don't announce until it makes it through the grad school? Not sure how they normally announce news. Super anxious!
