  1. Thank you all so much (and anyone else who I may have missed)! Don't give up if you haven't heard back yet. I never thought that my moment would come, but it did, and yours will too! This community has been my saving grace throughout the past few months. It's great to have so much support and positive energy.
  2. For those who have been accepted to Monmouth, join this Facebook group to connect with classmates! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1430421267204901/
  3. I just received a call from Monmouth University. I've FINALLY been ACCEPTED! I have a phone interview with another school in about fifteen minutes and I'm crying my eyes out. I hope you ALL get to experience this feeling if you haven't already. Never lose hope!
  4. I just received a call from Monmouth University. I've FINALLY been ACCEPTED! I've never felt so much relief and excitement in my entire life!
  5. Thank you so much for posting this.
  6. Thanks and sure! I'm not sure if they're extending interview invitations to all of the students that are being considered, so don't lose hope. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! GPA: 3.94 GRE: 155 verbal, 153 quantitative, 4.0 writing
  7. Officially wait listed at three schools, two of which were in my group of top choices. This is my personal circle of hell. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in. Breathe out.
  8. I was just waitlisted at NYU. I know it's not a rejection, but I'm still pretty disappointed and surprised. I felt that my application was very strong. If you were accepted and don't plan to attend, please let them know as soon as possible! Thank you all for the kind words (shuca, daisynic, ladyinwaiting23, etc.) - I've reached my maximum number of up-votes for the day, but the support is very helpful. I'm going to keep a positive attitude and hope for the best
  9. Was invited to participate in a phone interview with Stockton!
  10. I just received an invitation for an interview today via e-mail!
  11. Thank you both! The right school will accept me soon. I wish I knew what they didn't like about my application, but oh well.
  12. First rejection today and surprisingly I'm not as upset as I thought I would be. Three down, nine to go.
  13. Rejected from Emerson. I'm more disappointed that it took so long to have the decision posted than I am to be rejected. Hopefully good news will come my way soon!
  14. I came home to find a huge envelope in the mail today from Seton Hall. Obviously, I felt really excited and started shaking. I ripped it open to find a folder containing a piece of letterhead and some other documents. Then I read the letter... confirming my registration for the open house in two weeks. Such disappointment
  15. Two waitlists, no acceptances, no rejections. Suddenly I have a fear of being waitlisted at every school
  16. Waitlisted at the University of Maryland!
  17. I know NOVA has rolling admissions, so it won't hurt to apply early. Stay positive though! You still may get in to one of the others!
  18. Thank you and good luck to you too!
  19. My holistic health minor taught me to focus on positivity, but my spirit is really being put to the test. It's the middle of March and I've only heard from one of twelve schools, which blows my mind! The April 15 deadline is approaching rather quickly. I hope that I'm not bombarded by decisions too close to the deadline. I don't want to make any irrational choices. My fingers and toes are crossed for everyone! Great thread idea!
  20. Decisions definitely weren't sent out yet, and I don't believe interview invitations were distributed yet, if they're even holding interviews this year. As for the program, I've really enjoyed my communication disorders classes at Stockton! The professors are very knowledgable and friendly. Since I am on their "new academic track" for speech majors, I am technically a health sciences major with a concentration in pre-communication disorders. There is a strong focus on interprofessional communication and collaboration, which I can see carrying over into the graduate program. The speech clinic is located about a mile down the road from the main campus and is a great facility. I haven't had the opportunity to spend much time at the clinic, but I do know that you will get to do a lot of work there as a graduate student. Let me know if you have any specific questions about the school and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.
  21. I'm sorry, Stephanie! Definitely continue to have hope. Ten is a large number of schools, you're bound to hear good news from one of them! Did you hear from NYU today?
  22. I haven't heard from NYU yet either, and I'm hesitant to contact the department for the same reason. I wonder if they're waiting for others to accept and decline their offers before releasing the remainder of the decisions.
