  1. I currently attend Stockton as an undergraduate. Last year they conducted interviews prior to releasing decisions. The admissions committee was still reading applications as of the end of last week. Were you wondering about the program, or about when decisions will be made?
  2. It's been so nice to read all of these posts and learn a bit more about you all! My roommates and most of my friends at Stockton are Zetas as well, Kappa Xi chapter!
  3. That's disappointing
  4. I'll PM you! I don't want to jinx myself by revealing it publicly, just in case any admissions committee members happen to see it Thanks! Glad to see someone else on here has similar taste in sports
  5. Hahaha I always have the same thought when I spell out my initials. If I add in my Confirmation name my initials would be ARMG, but being a pirate sounds much cooler than being an arm
  6. This is a great forum with a strong sense of community. It dawned on me today that although we seem to be developing e-friendships, I don't even know some of your first names. This thread will allow us to get to know one another beyond our mutual passion for speech-language pathology. My name is Amanda and I am twenty-one years old. I was born and raised in Central New Jersey. For the first two years of my collegiate career, I attended Montclair State University as an English major with the intention of applying to the teacher education program. After my sophomore year, I transferred to the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey to major in communication disorders and minor in holistic health. When I am not in class, I enjoy working as a substitute teacher. My hobbies include sports, history, alternative/indie music, and traveling. My favorite teams are the New Jersey Devils, the New York Mets, and the New York Giants. My favorite destinations are Newport, Rhode Island and the Outer Banks, North Carolina. One fun fact about me is that my cousin Rene Gagnon was one of the Iwo Jima flag raisers during WWII. I hope to have the opportunity to meet some of you in the future! If you have any lingering questions, feel free to ask!
  7. Has anyone else not heard back from them?
  8. I hope that is true... someone else posted this on the results page today: "Still haven't heard back so gave them a call. Said that even though they have released a large number of decisions, my application is still under faculty review and I should hear back sometime this week. *sigh*"
  9. Congratulations to everyone who heard back from William Paterson!
  10. There was an entry in the results search yesterday for the University of Rhode Island. The comment said, "Got an email that the review of graduate applications for the program in speech-language pathology is in the works and should be ready after spring break two weeks from now." I applied to the program, but did not receive this e-mail. The application was due on March 1, which makes two weeks from now seem like a relatively short time frame to review all applications. Did anyone else receive this e-mail or have more information?
  11. Sundays are always my least favorite day of the week during this process because...
  12. A person who graduated from my program last year researched and compiled a list of graduate schools with spring, summer, and rolling admissions. I'm not sure how accurate the list is, but you all can do further research if you are interested. Hope this helps! University of Rhode Island (Spring) Appalachian State University (Spring) University of Central Florida (Spring) Kansas State University (Spring) Alabama A & M (Spring) University of Montevallo (Spring) University of Connecticut (Spring) Baylor University (Spring) Stephen F. Austin State University (Spring) Texas A & M (Spring) University of Texas, Pan-American (Spring) University of Texas, Dallas (Spring/Summer) Monmouth University (Summer) Northern Arizona University (Summer) Arkansas State University (Summer) University of Central Arkansas (Summer) University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa (Summer) Eastern Illinois University (Summer) Northern Illinois University (Summer) Ball State University (Summer) Eastern Kentucky University (Summer) Murray State University (Summer) University of Kentucky (Summer) University of South Carolina (Summer) Eastern New Mexico University (Summer) University of North Iowa (rolling) George Washington University (rolling) Nova Southeastern (rolling)
  13. Congratulations ladies!!! So happy for you both!
  14. Haha thank you! It happened at the beginning of my application process but I'm glad I went to the doctor before it got bad. Note to you all... if you feel like you're actually getting sick, go get it checked out!
  15. That awkward moment when you actually did develop an ulcer during this process...
  16. Just received an e-mail from William Paterson about a graduate school open house in April... not the e-mail I was anticipating
  17. NYU... Emerson... why are you doing this to me
  18. They received their accreditation! Monmouth sent out a letter in the mail (in December or January, if I remember correctly) stating this information.
  19. My dream last night takes the cake. Usually when I dream about grad school, it's a nightmare, but this was an awesome dream that I didn't want to wake up from. I was in a large mall with a healthy smoothie bar in it. My mom and grandma were with me. We were supposed to travel to a graduate school somewhere to accept my offer, but the smoothie barista was new and kept delaying our ordering process. Once we finally got the smoothies, we realized that they were the most delicious drinks that we had ever tasted. However, we were late for our plane. Suddenly, someone shouted, "Bob Barker is here!" Yes, Bob Barker, the former host of the Price is Right. He was seated in a chair a few feet away from me. I went to shake his hand and tell him how much I respected him, and he said, "Hi Amanda! Peace, peace, peace, peace. I'll take you all to school." I don't know what the peace-ing meant, but I laughed so hard when I woke up.
  20. Thanks for the support, everyone! I wish we could just become one big, loving cohort at the same school!
  21. I'm starting to feel physically sick over these decisions. I've had the worst stress migraine since seeing all of the NYU decisions posted last night... and I even had a dream about it.
  22. Anxiety, anxiety, go away, come again an-never

    1. arthritiskid

      arthritiskid

      preach it sister!

  23. I think they may be in the process of sending e-mails now, as late as it is.
  24. I see NYU acceptances and a rejection! Cue the anxiety!
  25. These are hilarious! I know that I've had dreams about grad school, but I can't remember any of them. Now at least I'll have a place to talk about them!
