Personally, I would look at their placement records and see how effective they are in placing into schools that I am interested in. For instance, if X placed 1 student in Carnegie Mellon and Y placed 3 in that same school, then I would most likely choose Y.

Does anyone have any ideas regarding Ohio State and UC Irvine (logic)? They have sent acceptances early feb. but I have not got anything yet. Same with Carnegie Mellon (logic/methodology).

Just received a rejection from CUNY via E-mail. I also received an email from Tufts to check their website, nothing there yet but presumably a rejection.

Did anyone else receive an email from UW-Milwaukee but it was not regarding admission? It was pretty much an ad. Anyways, I thought this belongs to the stupid thread. What the heck Milwaukee, pull yourself together!

I have published in an undergrad/Ma journal. I have also submitted a couple of papers to undergrad journals but still waiting for responses for those. I also have presented a paper in two conferences. I have organized a big conference with two other classmates. I have a year of teaching experience (tutoring about 20 students in logic and in discrete mathematics). None of this seemed to have helped. I am guessing that publishing in a professional journal would probably help a bit.

I'm guessing from reddit, right? Edit: Just saw the post on r/badphilosophy.
