Finished with 2 A-'s. So much better compared to my first semester!!

Class has been cancelled today, was cancelled last night as well. Trying to catch up on readings today!

I am so stressed out. I finally got a partner for my Quant Methods class and our research proposal is due on Tuesday so I will be spending a couple hours on campus today after work finalizing this project. Then I need to work on the school computers to run STATA to do my homework. I am exhausted!

So tonight is the class where my last professor did not show up. We are currently getting some snow from Juno and it is supposed to intensify tonight. I really hope class isn't cancelled We have to meet our new professor and get a syllabus and everything. Today is also the last day for add/drop and I really don't want to have to drop this class and find a new one so late into the semester. I am nervous.

I have a paired research project in my Quant Methods class and nobody wants to be my partner So it looks like I will be doing the 40 page paper and research solo.

MA right now, definitely thinking about a PhD in either Poli Sci or going back to History. Probably PoliSci though.

Well they have a senior legislative staffer and a former Assistant Secretary of Energy co-teaching it so they are qualified but I still have no syllabus or booklist so I have know idea what to expect.

They scrambled and got two adjuncts to co-teach the class. I have no idea what it is going to look like...I am wondering if I should drop it and pick up another class this semester instead. It is really weird and I feel like this class is going to be an issue . I feel really good about my Intro to Quantitative Methods. I am wondering if it is because I am so much more focused on my schooling this semester than last.

Well my professor was a no-show to class last night. Turns out that my professor actually said that he was not going to teach this class this semester and the University did not step up and get another Professor.

I am actually looking forward to my two classes tonight. I am ready to kick ass after a horrible first semester!

I am definitely ready to jump into my next two classes [i go part time because being a teacher sucks the life out of you]. I didn't do as well as I could have this semester for a multitude of reasons. Ready to start over. However, one of my classes doesn't even have a booklist out yet

Had my first final today. I think I did alright :-/ I take the next final next Monday.

I think cooper means why a MA and not a PhD? amirite?

I flunked out of University of Miami my first year and then went to a CC for 1 year to get my GPA back up (was on Deans List Spring and Summer semesters). I then graduate from Florida State with a 3.1 GPA (factoring in my first year). I think it is a testament to what type of student you are if you can face adversity and still come out on top. But that is just me. I might be completely wrong . But I did get accepted to all the schools I applied to except Georgetown and I received a personal email asking me to reapply next year.

I think my Political Analysis class and I are going to fight. Just turned in my 1st homework assignment and I know I bombed it. I don't understand it at all!!!!

Started this week. Went pretty well, have a butt-ton of reading for my Presidency class and I am super nervous about my Political Analysis class!

I had a 3.0 uGPA and I got into every school I applied to except Georgetown. I received an email after the initial rejection letter asking me to reapply next year, GPA isn't everything. I had a strong SOP and even stronger LORs.

I haven't even gotten my syllabus yet!

Purchased my Macbook Air yesterday through the website. Excitement!!

I am going to Florida for 4 days and attending an AP training for US History. Other than that I am reading some fiction and just relaxing. Working full time and going to school part-time (2 classes) is going to be interesting. I need to catch up on my sleep now.

I am going to school part time. I don't have a TA or GA, I work full-time as a public school teacher and that is the first week before the school year starts. I plan on contacting the school when they finalize the dates but I wanted to get other's opinions on the matter.

Just found out the tentative dates for my Orientation at American and I will be working on those three days . Does anyone know if Orientation is mandatory at the graduate level? Considering that it is preservice week for us teachers, I know I won't be able to get time off to attend Orientation.
