I am also 27, getting 28 this year. If I suck this year, I might reapply again. If I don't get in again, pretty sure Chinese society would force me to get married.....no way!

I think hot guys have to wait. I am pretty much thinking about applying again this year. Because as far it seems not good. I might dig into more research about ranking and apply to a wide range, revise papers and so on.

Hey. Thanks~ yes, I guess it's over. I think I might email them and ask about it. That would be my forth implied rejection out of 8. Pretty much need courage to hang on here.

Me too~~~ Cornell did only notified the English phd acceptances I guess, but according to the board, it should be come out this weekend. So stressed.....what other places did u apply? I don't know why they can't send rejections if they have a wait list.

S did not reply, my friend at Harvard told me that there are still no news. Also saw Yale rejection and I pray to let me know faster, gonna die here...

Haha, I actually mean Horb, according to NYU~ But good to know that u re also German~ lived in Germany for five years and def. interested in German literature. No peep from NYU Syracuse or Cornell..... Still awfully waiting!!!!

I did not contact any Professors before applying, but I am interested in the German professor Mr. Baer. I also like Celan and I wrote my master thesis about him and Ingeborg Bachmann. But my interest is in culture studies. I wrote to him afterwards but no reply:(((((

U know, I just emailed Stanford. I said I know it is pretty much an implied rejection but I would like to know when it is going to come out... I really want to do the same thing to NYU and Yale. I am about to email Harvard and I already asked Syracuse what their opinion of "fit" is...... Somebody should lock me in or something..... It is one of the biggest festival in China today but I feel so down .....
