  1. Just called admissions for confirmation. All Ed.L.D. interview invitations have gone out. I wasn't one of the chosen few. Surprised no one on this thread got one. All of the credentials shared were great, but then who am I to say what they wanted. Best of luck to everyone in all of your endeavors. Thanks for sharing and allowing me to vent!
  2. Thanks! I guess it would be nice to know where I came up short. That way I'll be able to make an informed decision about trying again. I'm sure my test scores are a hindrance, but I don't see how they should be considered an indication of academic ability.
  3. Hi there guys! The fact that I keep checking this thread must mean something! This was my second try. I'm not getting any younger, but am at a point where this program would fit in my life. I have heard it said that, "If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans". I have even gone so far as looking at housing and found a place that is just right for me. Oh well, maybe I'll try one more time. The third time may be the charm!
  4. I have two graduate degrees and several years of experience. I'm sure my references were good. I thought my essays were sound as well. GRE scores not fabulous, but have a high gpa. I guess those chosen were best all round.
  5. Just trying to be realistic. Hopes were high. In fact, too high. Really wanted this, but with interviews in two weeks it seems logical.
  6. Said I was going to give it until tomorrow, but considering the hour here, and no email, I am not one of the chosen few. All things considered, I'm not surprised. Best wishes to the fall 2016 Ed.L.D. cohort.
  7. I haven't seen a message section in the application portal. What are you referring to?
  8. Since email is the mode of delivery you would think that someone on this thread would have heard something. I don't think they have sent out the Ed.L.D. invitations. Maybe some other programs have. I'll give it until the 12th, then I'll let go of the idea of Harvard.
  9. When you say "went out" does that mean by email or usps?
  10. No! I'm trying to stay positive though. Been a little discouraged, but there is no harm in hoping!
  11. After reading this tread, I had concluded my chance of even getting an interview was between slim and none! Now I'm sure of it!! Best wishes to everyone who has the high GRE scores. Mine suck!!! Based on the above posts that is the first point of elimination.
  12. Please, pardon any confusion I my have caused by my recent post. For some reason, the admissions rep. I spoke with called me this afternoon. I was driving and almost slammed on brakes. Anyway, she called to correct what she told me. Interviews are in person!! She must have to record the name and number for all calls. I'm glad there has been clarification, and again I beg your pardon!!
  13. When I called I told the representative I had applied for the Ed.L.D. program. She told me the interviews would be via Skype. I believe the point she was trying to make was that there would be one less thing to worry about; having to travel to Cambridge. For personal reassurance, please call the admissions office.
  14. Thanks! I'll have to come up with plans B and C. Getting in is the hard part, and hopefully I'll do that. Where there is a will, there is a way! Also, I found out through admissions that interviews will be via Skype.
  15. It is my understanding that there is on campus housing available for graduate students. I would like to live off campus so my spouse can visit. Also, I think I would do better off campus and living solo.
