OK, thanks. I assumed, apparently incorrectly, that most programs would be the same, the language study could be counted as required credit hours, or not. I am guessing they cannot be unless they are masters level language and I need to learn a language that I have never studied before.
Anyone here in the Religious Studies department at Arizona State University and want to private message me so I can get your thoughts about the program?
I'm considering a MA program. There is a requirement for 1 language. There is also a requirement for 24 credit hours of class + 6 thesis hours. Can any of those 24 hours be language study or is the language study in addition to the course requirements?
I applied to ASU's PhD in Religious Studies. When I log into the My ASU web site, it says my application is in review for the MA in Religious Studies. I called the admissions department to ask if a mistake had been made, but they just said "it looks like the department is considering you for the Master's program, you should talk to them." I didn't want to bug them, but I am wondering.... I assume this means I've been rejected from the PhD program?
