I took "chemistry for teacher" at coastline community college online. It was a lab too, but all online. Wasn't fun, but wasn't horrible. If you take it, I have all the info saved from my course - let me know I can email you
I just want to let you know that I got in to CSULB even with a low quant score on my GRE (144), and 154. I also did not attend CSULB for my undergrad. They don't accept letters of recommendation either. GPA was 3.7. So there is a chance! A small chance true, but it can't hurt to apply. I got into the special cohurt so that may have made a difference
I have some suggestions - Silverlake, Eaglerock, some parts of Highland park, Pasadena, Glendale, . . . Not sure about East of CSULA, but I think Duatre is nice - don't hold me to that though
Westwood is a great area! But just, fyi, if you are travelling to CSULA from westwood, it takes about 25-30 min without traffic (which would probably be only from about 10am-2pm), otherwise it will take about 45-60 minutes.
Sounds right if your interview was a few weeks after mine. Waiting is so hard. But I said before, they tolde in my interview we wouldn't know until July. As of now I'd say no news is good news. Sending good vibes your way!
Got waitlisted at CSULA, it is also my current school where I am finishing my certificate program. My GPA is 3.8, GRE was not high at all (quant score is a little embarrassing), verbal 154, quant 144.
I know after this year, they are moving to a point system where you get points for certain activites - i.e. attending NSHLA mtgs, etc.
This year I'm not sure what they were looking for, but I believe there is some emphasis on extracurricular involvement
Thank u! Yes, I received notice in the mail. Originally they said July 14th is when we would hear, so I was shocked to receive a letter from them. Good luck to u, I'm crossing my fingers for u!
