  1. This is SO true. I currently work at a bookstore and that's pushing it in the customer service department for me...
  2. Never been to Disney not have I ever given blood...on a related note I don't know my blood type which can't be good.
  3. So, I have recently accepted an offer of admission for a PhD in Public Administration -- the program director has been extremely helpful and receptive ever since they have sent the offer. But I find myself checking my email far too much looking for new updates on the program. (Obviously the program doesn't start until August so...a little ahead of myself.) Part of me just feels like they made a mistake in admitting me and I'll find an email saying - "oh no...we didn't mean that." Is this just normal nerves after making your decision? Does anyone else find themselves trying to be immersed in the program this far out?
  4. I finished my M.A. program in January and now I'm working at a used bookstore full time before heading off to my program in the fall...so I am not sure as if lazy is the correct word so much as anxious to just head out to the program.
  5. I formally accepted an offer last week and putting a letter in the mail declining another offer today!
  6. This may be a controversial one....but...children. I can't. I don't even know what to say to them when they're being "cute."
  7. In my MA program we referred to our professors by their last name only (sans 'Dr.')...
  8. Accepted my offer from KU last week -- can't wait to get out there and visit Lawrence. (Not sure when that will be...hopefully soonish.) First step will be finding somewhere to live and this thread seems to be offering great advice for that. Also glad the tornado issue was touched upon for that was making me a little nervous...
  9. I don't know if it's unpopular so much as a guilty pleasure but I'm obsessed with the MTV show Teen Wolf.
  10. Glad we cherry-haters could be of assistance! What!? The best part. Do you prefer sugar rims?
  11. Anything cherry - I just can't. When I get a drink with one in it I either ask for the cherry to be omitted or I plunk it in a friend's drink. Glee, Homeland, and Mad Men. Sorry.
  12. I just accepted the offer I received from KU yesterday; I'll be studying Public Administration (Ph.D.). Supposed to be receiving an email concerning logistics from my program soon -- can't wait to get out there!
