  1. JaimeSLP maelia8 That is great insight! Thanks!
  2. I don't have a fellowship, but thanks for the heads up!
  3. Ok, so I know that it is not recommended that one has a job while they are attending grad school. I want to know those who were able to have a job and stay on top of their studies. I also would like to know what type of job if you don't mind sharing! I've always had a job since I started college and I'm not sure if I will be able to work, as well as my grad school course load. My undergrad was in speech and I did fine with my course load and working, grad school just scares me. Thanks in advance!
  4. @idahotb We haven't heard anything and probably won't (unfortunately) until ASHA meets in July and they find out if they can start in the Fall or Spring.
  5. Also, I know at Walmart and Target they have $1 bins of random things, so if you are starting off with no therapy supplies or toys, then that would be a good place to look as well! It's never too early to stock up!!
  6. I'm about to research it more now! I'm excited!
  7. It's just like what @Charlotte C said, I'm not a fan of how the days are split up and I don't think it would fit our normal schedule. Something that shows more of the times of day and being able to customize those would be a lot better! The EC really didn't have a place for me to write down my "homework" specifically. It had several notes pages in the back, but I would have preferred a designated area (I'm a little OCD). It was also expensive and I was sad that I spent so much on what I ended up not liking. It's really a toss up. I also know friends who love it.
  8. I just looked up your planner because that's also another one of my addictions, ha! It seems like a really good one. I have the Erin Condren now, but I'm not a big fan of it. I have used the Lilly Pultizer one for years and I swear by it. It's been by far my favorite. I'm going to look into the one that you have before I go back to that one.
  9. This is an awesome idea! I never thought of going to garage sales for supplies. Looks like I'll have to become even more organized now so my apartment doesn't end up looking like a daycare. Lol
  10. I do a lot of crafting and I already have one of those, although I probably need a new one because I've worn it out, lol. It is awesome and I love it!
  11. So I'm a sucker for school supplies. I'm the one that you'll see browsing the isles completely in the off season just because it makes me happy, lol. I was wondering what supplies do you think are "must haves" for grad school and others that have worked well for you in the past. I'm trying to come up with a solid list and not have too much excess. Thanks!
  12. Anyone else accept their seat at Samford so maybe we can start a Facebook group or something?!
  13. Hi! I was wondering if anyone else has accepted their "seat" in Samford's CMDS Program for the Fall?! I am currently looking for apartments, and I think it would be beneficial (and cheaper rent) to stay with someone in the major. Please let me know so we can chat and hopefully help others who are wondering the same thing. Blessings!
  14. Great! I just created a profile so hopefully you can find me!
