  1. That's what I was expecting more or less. Somehow had a little hope it would be this year, but that's because I'm very impatient about information. Thanks!
  2. Reading through this thread I'm getting even more anxious to know that the responses for the fall semester are usually until march D: It's driving me out of my mind.
  3. I finished my applications about three weeks ago, I had mostly all but one of my recommenders failed me, specially weird since he was my main supervisor of my college thesis. Anyway, I waited way too long on him, but I couldn't wait anymore so I cut him out. I'm very impatient and I know I have to wait at least one month more. I just don't handle well having no information on something. Anyone knows approximately how much time does it take for an answer? Specially the UT.
  4. Thank you Geodude, yes I am going for the MS. Unfortunately, my company does not hire international people. We do however have third party companies working for us, and now that the energetic reform has been approved, a lot of companies and international personnel will enter. Still, I don't know how hard the Stanford is compared to the others, or if it's just their prestige. The worst that could happen is that I lose 130 dollars from the application, I guess.

  6. Yeah, I guess a 4.5 would do, and improving the other sections too. Thanks.
  7. Thank you, I never saw this when I entered the page. I guess I should study really hard.
  8. Hello everyone, I took the GRE last year, I got 156 and 155, not sure which one in which section, and got 3.0 in the analytical writing section. I'm going to apply (international applier) to the Graduate program in the UT and in Colorado School of Mines for the next year, sponsored by my company and with almost 5 years of experience to the moment when I start, according to what they (UT staff) told me, the average GRE score of the students that got in is 300, I know that the average might be higher in CSM, specially in the math section, so I was wondering how important is the score of the AW, to just leave it like that or re-take the test and improve my scores overall. Also, if any of you have some examples of the GRE analytical writing that I could use to practice, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
