Which iPad do you plan to get? I want a Pro but can't decide on size.

My mistake! I too am waiting to hear from Waterloo...

Hi Natalie -I'm sorry Was the decision reflected on Quest too?

Is anyone still waiting to hear from Waterloo online part time? I feel I need to make a final decision and am just waiting on them...

Is anyone still waiting to hear from Waterloo for online part time? I need to make a final decision soon and am worried how much longer I will need to wait...

I just want to say you are all amazing. I both dread and love Fridays. I dread no news weekends, but it also gives us freedom from refresh! Happy Friday everyone!

Congrats! Which program at Waterloo did you apply to, full or part time?

I applied to the May start Advanced Standing part time program for those with a BSW. I can't recall the day in January, sorry. I happened to check Loris and saw a congrats letter where I usually check. A few minutes later I received an e-mail that linked to the same letter. It was a few days before other cohorts were notified as I think part time AS get notified first.

I found out I was accepted to Laurier through Loris before the e-mail went out, if that helps at all. I am still waiting to hear from Waterloo. Positive vibes to all!

Many schools will extend a deadline as this is not your fault - perhaps write the school, let them know the steps you have taken, and ask them what can be done.

Should I tell school of other admission offers?
SuzyH replied to CogSciRob's topic in Decisions, Decisions
I suggest waiting it out. You could advise people that you are waiting for all offers before the big reveal. -
I was trying to figure out how I would maintain a practicum and employment. My employer is willing to work around my schedule and to support me in a new role that has never been tried. Things are gellin!

@AcademiaObscura if you are looking for some silliness.

Does my employer need to know
SuzyH replied to OutofStateConcerned's question in Questions and Answers
To avoid a negative reference and leave on good terms I would suggest providing at least the minimum notice. Here it is two weeks, so I think a month is fair and appropriate. -
I too would be very hesitant about putting my effort and money into a non-accredited school.

I love tea but sometimes I want the bubbles of a carbonated drink. I have taken to drinking Nestle Pure Life Carbonated Water with fruit essence. They have zero calories yet give me the satisfaction of a sugary soda. I can't really explain why but they are delicious.

I am trying to decide myself, and leaning to a tote/backpack hybrid as I will not carry too much weight in my bag. https://www.loandsons.com/products/edgemont-600d-recycled-poly-onyx

Same! I get the refills directly from Japan and save a ton.

I purchased a pack of Pentel EnerGel Liquid Gel Pens because the package stated the ink was suitable for lefties (which I am). Love. For once I didn't look like half my hand was bruised as the ink dries super fast. Smooth writing and bright colors for color blocked notes.

Is there anyone currently attending Laurier or Waterloo? I am hoping for some program/course/instructor comparisons.

Good to hear - hang in there

What season did you apply to? I was accepted but for May season. I know different cohorts have different dates as well. Don't panic!

Congratulations to all who received acceptances! To those who did not, take care of yourself and stay strong. The universe has a hidden plan.

I had less than a year post-BSW experience, which prevented me from applying to certain schools. MUN, for example, requires at least 2 years post-BSW experience as a social worker. Other schools will consider human service related experience prior to BSW. For example, I was an Indigenous Health Consultant for the province. A lot of my work parallels what we do in macro social work positions. Some schools do not require it at all. I believe I read on a previous year's forum post that Laurier average applicants had approx 7000 work/volunteer hours, not sure about others. One thing I do wonder - for schools that require two years post BSW experience, do you have to have the 2 years experience BEFORE you apply, or just have the two years before you begin school? We apply months ahead...

Thank you so much, I think we are all pretty awesome! Best of luck to everyone ?❤️?
