I have been doing the same. I wish we would just hear back from at least Laurier OR UofT! It's been over 1 month since I've received news and I'm so... tired of waiting! I just want to know, especially before going into my finals! I do feel like I've lost all hope though so I want to know as soon as possible so I can walk my butt to the SAQ and get a great bottle of wine, a tub of ice cream, and watch my favorite shows all night, and the next day sign up for all these amazing painting/hot yoga classes for the summer haha.

That is such a bummer! I really thought we would hear from Laurier this week. Well I guess, we need to keep waiting. Thanks for the updates, and good luck!

Thank you for that info! It's comforting to know that they actually want us waitlisted candidates to have a fair chance. I think there's going to be some shifts in May because everyones going to have heard and that's when "real" decisions will be made. I'm going to try and stay as positive as possible - there is still hope until the first day of classes Fingers crossed! Yeah it would be great to know someone going into the program as well. I'm currently located in Montreal so I'd be moving to Ottawa, and that process coupled with a new school and a new program is going to be a little overwhelming but so exciting! I want it so badly, haha. I know, we all do!

Thank you That's really reassuring - I have a lot of experience but not the most competitive GPA. I'm glad they are actually taking the approach they claim they do.

Is it just me or has this week been unbearably long? I really hope we find out before April 15th because finals start on April 16th. It would be nice to know where I stand before going into finals instead of having this in the back of my mind while studying. Anyone else feeling this way?

This application process has been extremely stressful for me. For some reason I'm just not coping well at all with all this waiting + everything else going on in my life, so I decided that if I get rejected I will take time to take care of myself. My work contract ends in August so I'll see if they want to renew it and if so, I'm going to work at my boring job and take Italian, painting, and hot yoga courses. I will also take the time to read novels that I want to read and enjoy. I probably won't start volunteering again until September. I really just want/need to focus on myself for once. Additionally, since my lease is ending on April 30th, I'm going to live with my in-laws for the summer until I figure out the situation with these applications (since I'm waitlisted at Carleton). If I don't get in, September 1st I'm signing a lease with my partner in Montreal and, as I said previously, work at my current job or find a new one. So basically the point is to self-care and do things that I haven't had the chance to do because I've been in school my whole life. I am secretly kind of excited for this plan B. I'm starting to fear that I won't be mentally able to take on another two years of school even though I will be completely crushed and devastated if I'm not accepted anywhere. Fingers crossed - it's a new week. Hopefully we get some news

Thanks for reminding me magfish. I am now fully determined to finish this 18 page paper by Saturday evening (due Monday) so I can take Sunday off and go out for brunch, buy some tea, take a nice walk, and indulge in tv, hehe. Remember everyone - it's not over yet. Let's try to enjoy the weekend What are peoples plans this weekend? I also want to thank everyone on here. I agree with Fenris70, in your situation I would most certainly be calling and emailing. You have the right to know in this situation. I hope you get an answer.
