  1. Is there a SAIS 2015 Facebook page?
  2. I would go back to Georgetown and negotiate for more funding, esp since you have full tuition scholarship for Harris. I am also an international student and being in DC is extremely advantageous when you are trying to get a job as an international. You will be able to network and get consultancies, etc. with international orgs like the world bank, etc.
  3. Dear David: Thank you so much for your helpful comments. Who would you advise we speak to on MPP admissions? It would be really helpful to get some feedback. Many thanks!
  4. Yeah I didn't hear anything from Gtown (MSFS) either... The website has been showing errors -- I'm wondering if this means that decisions will be released soon!!!!!!
  5. Is Fletcher also releasing financial aid with the decision? I keep refreshing my inbox!!!!
  6. Is there anything you can do to "boost your chances"?
  7. Hey SportsFan -- you have some great options! You heard back from MSFS and SAIS already? Did you apply early?
  8. When is Fletcher decision rolling out? The website says April 1, but it looks like it may come out before then.
  9. Hi All - To those who have been waitlisted, then accepted, can you provide any tips or advice you may have? And what are the chances of getting off the waitlist?
  10. SIPA decision came out on Monday and HKS today. Fletcher decision should be released this week, too...
  11. Waitlisted... To those who have been waitlisted and accepted, do you have any advice?
  12. Congrats to those who are admitted. Could you share a bit about your background? I believe that I have a good profile with work experience, but my GPA is mediocre (3.5) and GRE score isn't great (mid 150).
  13. I applied to Tufts MALD and did not get such email Was the email a personalized one? I had low GRE score (mid 150) but thought I may still be a solid candidate given my int'l development work experience.
  14. Question on Harvard Kennedy application: Do you have to include your salary in your resume? Will you be penalized for not including the salary? employment, including titles and dates (months/years) of employment for each position, job responsibilities, salary, any gaps in employment history; academic degrees, achievements and honors; volunteer, public service and political work, recent leadership experiences; extracurricular activities and interests.
  15. Thanks for your feedback. It's very helpful so I know what to focus on/emphasize. Is the GRE score tied with scholarships/fellowships?
  16. Thank you so much, Isaiki87, for your feedback. Very helpful to hear from a current SAIS student. I am an international student seeking an MA degree with Nanjing University. Then, to clarify: 1) I went to a university in the US, does that exempt me from taking TOEFL? 2) if I am not taking TOEFL, shouldn't I submit GRE? 3) also, how about scholarships/fellowships? is this tied with your GRE score? would you mind if I message you to ask a few questions re. your admissions package for the other schools and why you decided to choose SAIS in the end? many thanks.
  17. Programs: Kennedy (MPP), Fletcher (MALD), SAIS (MA), Georgetown (SFS), Berkeley Goldman (MPP), SIPA (MIA or MPA) -- in order of choice GPA: 3.5 from a less known small private college GRE score: 155 (v), 156 (q), 4 (awl) Work experience: 3 years of work experience experience abroad: .5 year UN internship in China consulting experience: 1 yr World Bank: 2 yrs Language skills: Chinese English Japanese Quantitative requirements: Very minimal. Statistis. Professional experience did not involve much quant work Overseas experience (work, study and teaching): Grew up in developing countries Work experience/summer course abroad Statement of Purpose & LoR: working on this Area of Concern: GRE!!! Is this acceptable? Lack of quant experience I do think I have a good story to present for the SoP which aligns with my upbringing and professional experience. Is it still difficult to overlook the low GRE score, lack of quant experience, and coming from a not-so-prestigious under grad institution? Thank you for your feedback in advance!
  18. My GRE score is: 156 (v), 155 (q), 4 (AWL) Is this score acceptable for Kennedy, Fletcher, SIPA and/or SAIS? A few other factors to consider are: 3.5 GPA 3 yrs of professional experience experience working abroad working at the World Bank (and have previously interned at the UN)
