I know this is pretty early but I just got accepted to the Urban Strategies and Design Program (MSc Fall '15). Anyone else on here looking at attending Edinburgh next fall?

I am looking for any/all advice from anyone in an Urban Development/City Management program.... what programs do you recommend? did you consider a masters in planning instead? what pushed you towards the mpa? how important is location? (will you get a better expereince in a more urban setting?) Any and all advice is welcome! I am interested in a career in City Management or with urban economic development and trying to figure out which programs are the best fit. I have a background in government/policy and experience in administration, but little experience with planning/urban issues.

Also bumping this thread because I too am interested in what advice people have to offer... I am looking at a career in City Management. I am interested in a program with a focus on urban planning because my undergraduate degree (Government & International Affairs) covered a lot of policy/economic topics but not planning. As a city manager -- better to have a strong leadership program? planning program? or policy program?
