  1. Oh that letter! I just looked and I got mine Feb 22nd. That's so odd that you have to wait this long.
  2. I've got nothing as well. What were they supposed to inform us about?
  3. I looked and noticed some for previous years, but nothing yet for this year
  4. Yes I believe Alex24 is correct in all of this! I have a Netid and a B00 number simply because Dal is where I got my first degree. Nothings changed for me on dal online, it still says "written notification to follow" in the decision box and I imagine it will stay that way for awhile. Don't be discouraged!! Especially those of you outside the maritimes...though it sucks that we're going into a weekend and you have to wait until Monday
  5. I just got my letter from Dal- I GOT IN!!! I'm in shock. Fingers crossed the rest of you get them today too!!
  6. I applied to the in person, full time, one year program
  7. Oh I'm sorry to hear! This is the 3rd year of me attempting to get into my MSW, so I know rejection well. Hopefully you hear better news from other applications you've submitted. And if not, good luck in the future if you plan on applying again!
  8. No, I'm in the same city, about a 20 minute drive from the University....So not getting it today has me sweating a bit.
  9. Ohhh good luck!! I checked my mailbox and nothing there yet... trying really hard to not read too much into that and hoping for tomorrow.
  10. Anyone else obsessively checking this thread and their email/mailbox? Patience is not one of my virtues lol ?
  11. I'm waiting to hear back from Dal's 1 year full time MSW. Nothing in the mail today (I'm in Halifax, so the letter should get to me quick). In my obsessive state last night, I searched past forums and found the following initial mentions of acceptance letters: 2021: Feb 8 (2nd Monday) 2020: Feb 11th (2nd Tuesday) 2019: Feb 11th (2nd Monday) 2018: Feb 8 (1st Thursday) So....my fingers are crossed for hearing by the end of this week! ?
  12. Just received my response from uofc- didn’t get in. I have other life goals that will make me just as happy, if not happier, than getting into my masters, so I’m not upset about the rejection. However, I wish they would have been more transparent throughout the process...it has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, so I’m not sure if I’ll reapply in the future. Good luck to the rest of you still waiting!
  13. Hi fellow uofc hopefuls! According to what they’ve told a few of us, we should hear something today. Good luck!
  14. Seriously, why can’t they just pick a day and tell us to expect an answer then?? This waiting for a response at any moment is killing my nerves and making it seriously difficult to focus on ANYTHING. I have not heard anything this week...only thing I’ve heard is the email response they gave me with the same timeline they gave you.
  15. Yes! Exhausted is the right word for it. From my understanding, the clinical program was only on campus...are you meaning some people might have applied to the online (I think leadership stream) and clinical stream and the school might be deciding between the two?
  16. I emailed them last week and they said "Please be advised that we are in the midst of sending admission decisions. We anticipate that all decisions should be sent by the end of next week"
  17. I know there are others here still waiting on UofC.... I'm happy that we will hear a definitive answer this week because, seriously.... this roller coaster of waiting for an answer, becoming resigned to the fact that I wasn't getting in, then hearing that I still had a chance, is driving me insane. I refresh this page, my email, and the UofC login several times daily. I just want to know so I can move on with my life. I'm sure others feel the same, so I just wanted to get that off my chest!!
  18. I currently live in Halifax and can attest to it being a lovely place to visit in the spring!
  19. No problem! Actually, my biggest critique about the program is the practicum process. It is completely up to the student to find and secure a placement. Once you find one, you give the field coordinator the information and they set everything up through the school. So if you do the program, just be prepared to treat finding a practicum like a job search (finding a company/agency/organization, submitting a cover letter and resume, setting up interviews, supplying references). Also if a social work program exists where you live, usually agencies have agreements that make their students a priority.
  20. Just want to bump this as a reminder that some of us may hear back today!! *fingers crossed*
  21. I'm actually just finishing up my BSW from University of Manitoba and I live in Nova Scotia. Most of the people who take the program (via distance) do not live in Manitoba. I've liked the program! Dalhousie also offers a distance BSW (I didn't take their program because I heard they were more social justice focused, and I did my first undergrad there, so I wanted to avoid it). Deadlines for both programs have passed though.
  22. Ahhhhhh this is such exciting news! Thank you for calling them!
  23. Thank you for sharing this! If I don’t get in (which I’m sure at this point I haven’t) I am definitely going to sign up for the certificate for the fall.
  24. I’m also waiting to hear back about the 1 year program and also assuming at this point that I didn’t get in. I remember reading somewhere on this thread that they were going to have their decisions out by March 19th? If so, that means we should find out today at least
