  1. I know! I was thinking that if I could just figure out who's going, I could set up a facebook group or something, so we could get in contact with one another.
  2. As someone who grew up in Santa Cruz and is finishing their undergrad at Davis, I can guarantee you will be so happy with the housing/rental market when you move.
  3. I accepted my offer to UC's chemistry program too! Are you going to do summer research or are you coming in the fall?
  4. Hey, I'll be at the Feb 26-28th visiting weekend, too! (We can freeze in the snow together)
  5. Might just be that the people who got in don't use/know about gradcafe? I'm not sure how many people they admitted, maybe the class size is small...
  6. Very interesting. It seems like a lot of people have gotten acceptances at weird hours. I guess my post was genuinely living up to the "over analyzing" theme. And, yes, my username is a Peep Show reference. I love that show!
  7. Ah, good to know. Yeah, my knowledge is obviously super anecdotal. I'm sure it depends on the field / institution / etc.
  8. From my experience and that of the four other people I know getting grad school notifications: Yes, only weekdays. Yes, only business hours (with the exception of UM Ann Arbor which sent out an acceptance at 5AM in their time zone). The notifications have come in Wed-Fri. Usually in the afternoon.
  9. I applied to inorganic and got my acceptance letter from UCLA on Thursday. A friend of mine (also inorganic) got an acceptance yesterday.
  10. Hey guys, I just found this forum, so sorry I'm late to the game. Does anyone have any idea on when Columbia will start sending out their admissions offers?
