      Depends. First, will they let you defer? Second, do you have a job right now that you could keep for another year? Third, would the amount that you're able to save over the next year make a significant difference in your finances afterward? If the answer is yes to those three, then it might be worth deferring.

      I do have a job. And working may make a dent since i'm at home and not paying rent. I'll have to ask about deferring. Blaah.

    Yeah, Lincoln Park is ridiculous. I found some reasonably priced places in Lakeview. I don't know anyone, so I'd probably be living by myself in a tiny studio. Good transportation is a must because I think I'm leaving my car in Texas :[ I heard Wrigleyville was doable if you don't mind game day noise. I'm going to look at Andersonville since it seems pretty cool. Have you visited the campus, yet?

    Yeah, I'm still waiting on a school and for assistantships. Do you really think they meant mid-April? I just want to know. But, the more I look at it, the more I like it.

    Well I don't know about Syracuse, but I just got accepted to NYU M.S. Publishing. I applied because I know members of the faculty have worked in the industry and have good connections with publishing houses in New York City. I'm sure working with the program's faculty will give you a boost into the publishing industry. I guess it depends on where you want to focus your studies. I know you aren't decided between publishing and PR, but once you make that decision then the rest may be easier.

    Hey! I saw that you went to DePaul for undergrad, and I am seriously considering going there for grad school this fall. Can you offer some suggestions for where to live? What areas are safest? How did you like DePaul?

    I got an email from a school saying that they are reviewing me for an assistantship, but I have yet to receive an admission decision. Is this good news? Should I call, email, wait? What should I say? I am kind of freaking out. Help and advice would be appreciated. Thanks! PS I checked the website thing and I now have a To Do: my Final Transcript. ?????

    I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bitter when a friend from school got some acceptances and I haven't heard anything yet. But that's only because she's kind of a cow, and I don't really like her. I'm always super happy for my friends (you know, the ones I like) even if it turns up the anxiety haha. I will post something if I get an acceptance. Maybe something like "beelz got into grad school? *dies*. But I'd definitely call everyone close to me, if only to just keep screaming.

    Ugh, yes! I have a second interview for a job on Monday. It's a full time job + benefits and I'm pretty much a receptionist. If you get offered the job, will you accept it?

    Best Case Scenario: I get fully funded for an MA program with an assistantship/fellowship/blessing from above. Then I graduate with honors, then I get a fabulous job, then I live happily ever after Worst Case Scenario: All around rejection. I move to Dallas and become Pam from The Office. Or I get married and become a housewife.
