  2. 30K stipend from Delaware Wow! God I wish I applied there!
  3. Heard Back from USF- my funding is 6k first year. Not that great but a full ride otherwise. I am debating attending.
  4. Hey I am 6th on FSU's waitlist any luck on your end?
  5. Officially rejected from UF. Oh well. Maybe I should have applied to UNLV. But, I have only so much money. And still nothing from USF about funding or an official notice of admission. Which sketches me out.
  6. I was waitlisted at FSU too no biggie tho. But I got into USF and Im still waiting to hear back on funding.
  7. yeah it was a good interview. Pretty funny guy- he knew some people at my former school.
  8. I had an interesting interview with Florida State today. The guy interviewing my was pretty dry. He did not appear to like Tallahassee much . It was a decent interview. But, I think I am in they are making up their minds next week about admissions. So we will see.
  9. Yeah! I am a painter I applied to a bunch of Florida schools after I found out how much money they offer their students. I am pretty excited about USF right now. It seems like an awesome program. LSU is a great school. And Baton Rouge seems pretty cool. I thought about applying there this year.
  10. I would not take out loans to pursue an MFA is my advice or try not to. It can be a financial nightmare. If you do make sure you have a plan. Because nothing is guaranteed. I know a lot of people who went to more "prestigious" school and hate that they had to take out loans. Esp. grad loans that have 6.8 interest on them. And I think there are a lot of great public/ private programs that are free and the alumni are usually just as successful as others. I am not saying don't do it if you want to but there is a difference between having like 80,000+ over your head after graduation vs. not having any debt from grad school.
  11. If any one else gets a call from USF let me know. and DM me afterwards. ::)
  12. I got a call from USF and they said that they are into my work. And they will call me next week about funding. I think you will hear from them soon,
  13. I actually just checked my mail and USF sent me a prospective MFA packet. It is actually a pretty nice packet. Although I am pretty confused as to why they sent it. I just want to know my app stats
  14. I am sorry to hear that. I still have not heard anything so I don't know what that means. Prob rejected too. I don't think it is my best either. Best of luck to you though.
  15. I am still waiting to hear back from USF as well.
  16. Just out of curiosity did they ask you for an interview at all? I have not heard anything from them. I think they're moving onto other applicants.
  17. UF should be early march i think that is what it said on their website
  18. good point! It is best not to be too fatalistic in this process.
  19. God! Thanks for letting me know. I have not heard any thing. My rule is if you do not hear back after two weeks or three weeks. They are not interested. Thanks for the heads up. And Good luck. What area did you apply to? Would you like to share your work?
  20. I applied to Tulane last year. Very competitive. I almost reapplied this Year. I also Applied to University of Florida! Good luck. Do not give up. I have applied for the past two years to schools and was only accepted at Portland State-great program. but the funding was not enough for me to attend. Apply to more if you feel like its a good idea. If it makes you feel any better. I just found out my teacher did not submit a recommendation that was due on the 15th to University of South Florida. pretty disappointed. I really wanted to have chance there. But I probably did not get in sadly. Some apps are better than others I suppose. My FSU app is strong but so is mY UF App. It is a learning process.
