Very quiet this year... strange. Looking at Interdisciplinary programs. Second year applying. Does anyone know anything about funding for ICP Bard? I like the sound of the program.

In 2015 I got offers from all of my grad schools, however I have severe Endometriosis and ended up declining all offers with intentions of applying this year after my surgeries and illness calmed down. However, I received some news during this past year that has me reexamining my school choices. I WILL be applying for school this up coming fall and I WILL be attending in 2017, however I need to look into child care being offered at the MFA facility or in association with. If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it. The school I aspire to gain acceptance again is NYU for my MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts as I'm located in between Philadelphia and New York.

So for those who are interested in SVA's MFA program, if you are looking for funding there is ZERO available. I was dazzled by the program was assured there was some funding available and then I received an email from Mark (the chair of the MFA department) telling me to look at state schools for funding in my situation. Yes, it is true state schools have some great funding, but I was strung along only to get a rude 2 line email. Also the studios are very tiny. I am really shooting for NYU, again.

Hey Everyone! Can't wait for this application season. Still narrowing down my schools for this year. If anyone has any questions about Pennsylvania Fine Arts Academy (Pafa), School of Visual Arts (SVA), or New York University Stienhardt (NYU) Let me know! I got into all three last year and can help with the interview/application/funding information if need be. I ended up turning down all the offers because my partner and I had our dream home go on the market in our town and we purchased it. Easy access to Philly and NYC. I will defiantly be applying for NYU again, maybe Cranbrook, Northwestern, Stamps, Temple, UPenn, Yale, Mica, and a few others. Haven't narrowed it down yet! I got a phone call from Maureen Gallace of NYU notifying me that I was first on their waitlist. There was now an opening. This is was my top school and I declined their offer due to needed more funding. Looks like someone might get lucky!

Thank you so much for this information and Congrats on Rutgers!! I've heard amazing things about their program and the new direction it has been taking. NYU has been pretty quite; with such a small acceptance rate, I'm not expecting any type of miracle to happen in the next few days. If you don't mind me asking... How much was your deposit for NYU? I haven't found any info regarding the deposit fee. You can PM me if you don't feel comfortable announcing it on here. I've declined my offers from SVA and PAFA. I think I'm just going to apply next year to more schools now that I've dipped my foot in the water. I have a few publications and shows happening later this year, so hopefully that beefs up my CV. I'm really proud of what I did this application season. I wish everyone luck on their future adventures!!

I'm gonna ask, but I'm expecting the same silence... Anyone for NYU yet? Are you out there evol? We have literally less than two weeks for the deposit date. Maybe they are just waiting for my birthday. Fingers crossed. Toes crossed. Arms crossed. Crossing other peoples limbs. Everything crossed! I'm gonna go check my email 15 more times...
