  1. Hi everybody! I received an email from my POI like an hour ago with good news. He said the official letter will be sent tomorrow or the next day after tomorrow. I'm not sure if it applies to all other programs (I applied to SRM), but hopefully we will all know by the end of this week. Best of luck! EDIT: Just received official letter two hours after email from POI.
  2. I applied to the Social Research Methodology Ph.D. at GSEIS. I had an interview via zoom with two professors in January. Hopefully, we will hear back this week (can't handle more anxiety ?). Best of luck to everybody!
  3. Hi all! I got an interview invite from UCLA - SRM program earlier today.
  4. Hi mpahopeful, Regarding you questions: 1) I believe the admissions process for the MPA/ID is VERY competitive. I applied to 12 programs and this was one of the only 2 that rejected me. I might be wrong but I seem to remember that the class is pretty small, 70 or less. They are looking for people with strong quantitative training + a gre over 161 on quant + professional experience that prooves your dedication to development. Besides being relevant, it is preferable if your professional experience shows your potential. 2) The student body mmmm I dont know exactly for I have not meeted them but I guess, because of the admissions process, they have great profiles. 3) The mayor pro/con is that this program is the most quantitative one you will find. It is not just the question of whether you like math or not, some classes seem to have a phd level. You should think carefully if this is what you are looking for. 4) Very well reputed. In my opinion,it is the best HKS program. Not that it matters but it was in my top 3.
  5. @economixed_policy Im facing the same decision!! It was very hard but Ive narrowed it to Chicago (full tuition + a stipend) and Georgetown (25k). Ive talked to 4 international students that went to Chicago and they said really cool things about the program. They did mention that career development was not a plus at their time but that the new dean has done a lot of changes in this area. The students I talked to mentioned that some of their friends had done an internship at dc without any trouble. Ive talked to the new dean and my first impression of him was very favourable. He seems to be implementing a lot of changes in the right direction. Why dont you talk to alumni from both schools and from your country?
  6. I received an email notifying me that I was awarded Financial Aid and that I should log into the Apply web system to find the result (12.5k for each semester). Good luck to everyone!!
  7. @Intlmktmg I havent received any funding news (I was accepted to the MIDP too). Still, my letter of acceptance is no longer available and that is what the mpp candidates noticed before getting their financial aid news.
  8. Got the financial aid email today too...!!
  9. I just received the letter of admission on the mail and Im really excited!! I'm an international student so I didn't expect to receive an envelope. As I grew up watching gilmore girls, it is nice that I can say now that I got the big one!! Cheers
  10. I contacted McCourt Admissions last Friday to inquire about the MIDP. After uploading my letter, I contacted them again to ask about funding. I got the same response as @Franopan... the info will be released by the end of march.
  11. @user727 Thank you! I wrote to them yesterday night... they replied today around 11 am. Good luck!!
  12. Hi!! I wrote to McCourt and they uploaded my admissions letter. No info on funding but still its good to know. I applied to the MIDP.
  13. Rejected!! Good luck to everybody!!
  14. @MJA87 Yeah, I just heard I'm going to think it over the weekend... but I honestly feel that I have to go to a school that truly wants me and Chicago Harris is an excellent option. What are you planning to do?
  15. @handiya I feel you!! But we did our best and at the end of the day, the school that wants you is a school that fits. Feel proud of your accomplishments, that Im sure are more than plenty. Good luck to everybody!!
