Oh good!! So for architecture, I guess they don't do interviews?
It would make sense as none of the websites mention anything about that. I only skyped with one professor and it went so badly (in my opinion) that I decided not to contact anyone else after that.
I have applied for History and Theory, and only submitted a portfolio to Yale, because they required one. I sent writing samples to the rest.
My GRE results were mediocre too, especially writing, because I cannot write a dumb essay with made up examples, and I was thinking that surely a PhD committee wouldn't really rely on a meaningless test like that to evaluate applicants.
But I think, if given all the other application materials the committee was hesitant between two applicants, they would maybe refer to the GRE scores to set them apart.
I think i'm going to stop thinking about this for now and just wait!
