  1. Thanks you two! I will definitely be re-applying in the future. Until then, best of luck to us all on our new adventures! (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑
  2. For those who may be keeping track and taking note of trends, I received my rejection email today @ 10:00AM. On to plan B for me! Congratulations to all of you who were accepted and best of luck to those waiting!
  3. I was really hoping this topic would be dropped, but this is just ridiculous. There's a huge difference between commenting on how "easy" an entire nations' women are (particularly in the context of choosing where to complete your advanced IR degree) and dating/relationship questions/concerns. It's degrading, disrespectful and frankly, inappropriate for this forum. It would be similarly ridiculous if I commented on preferring a school in America by suggesting "Plus, they say American men have money."
  4. Did either of you apply to the MA-JD joint program?
  5. Holy Shmokes! Big congratulations to you my friend! Tea, have you heard anything yet? I think it's just the two of us on here who have applied to the JD-MA. I, for one, am hopeful that it's an indication of less competition!
  6. Hi Tigersjaw, I am a Carleton Alumni so I'm familiar with some of the areas you might be interested in. I lived in the South Keys area, which is on the O-Train line (the train that runs right through Carleton Campus). I think it's a particularly good area due to it's proximity to Loblaws, Walmart, clothing stores, Bank Street, a bunch of parks and best of all, it's affordable. As you might expect, it is a little far from Downtown Ottawa, however, it's close to the airport. To summarize - its a great price-conscious, safe and convenient area. It's not great if you're looking to enjoy Ottawa night life or working downtown/Parliament.
  7. A glimmer of hope for those left waiting: I emailed Tabbatha this morning and she said that offers have not yet gone out for the MA-JD joint program applicants. She mentioned that they may be sending out offers for this particular program by the end of the week. Now I just hope I haven't bothered her during an undoubtedly busy time!
  8. Just to double-check - You received these offers through your @carleton.ca emails, yeah?
  9. shiiiiiiit. Nothing for me...not a good sign. Congrats everyone on your acceptances!
  10. Good morning fellow lurkers! I think we're in for a looong day.
  11. In 2013, first round acceptances seemed to go out on the 3rd Monday (March 18th). However, it was also published online during the 2013 application process that "The assessment of completed applications for the forthcoming academic year will begin after March 15", whereas it's February 15th this year. I guess we will find out on Monday!
  12. Has anyone else applied to the JD-MA combined program with OttawaU?
