  1. I would email your POIs in the morning and explain your predicament. I understand that Clinical Psychology is very difficult to get into at the grad. level, but I think if you really sold the fact that you got this funding, it would really strengthen your chances for reconsideration!! It would also help to probably suggest a phone call or meet up face to to face with POIs (if you are able to travel to meet them face to face) so that they can talk to you and see if you are a good fit for them supervisor wise. Did they give you any reason for not getting into the programs at all or was it a flat out rejection? Ddd you have any email contact with the POIs before you applied to the program? Honestly, I have had friends who have been rejected for PHDs and when they brought it to the attention of a supervisor they were building rapport with, they ended up getting reconsidered and ultimately accepted!! Plus if they see that you try, it not only shows perseverance, but your own commitment to your studies!!
  2. I really think so!! Last year I was waitlisted with a 10.6 whereas some people were flat out rejected with higher rankings than me, so that would be the only explanation.
  3. Rejected, no-waitlist this time with a score of 11.4/20. Thank you Weberian for your inspiration!! I am finishing up my second year and plan to reapply again in the fall of my third year. (hopefully 4th time applying will help)
  4. Has anyone located in the lower mainland heard from their graduate secretaries yet? Since snail mail take forever to get to Vancouver, it is such a long wait for us!
  5. Hey! By the sound of it, you are a strong candidate overall and it is great that you will have strong references to support you. I think maybe you should contact some grad. students who have been accepted into the programs you are looking at? Or better yet, make contact with the specific department grad. chairs and find out what they think would be best? PS. Are you currently in a School in BC? If so, I think I know who you are hahaha (im in your cohort!)
  6. Ended up getting my letter today afterall! I was surprised because im in BC. Got waitlisted!
