I'm curious about this too. I've been sending thank you emails after every interview but have tried to keep them pretty brief. Normally, for a job interview, I usually write about key points touched during the conversation and reiterate how I'd be a good candidate. For some reason, I feel like that may be too much for this context. Thoughts?

I've been on the hunt for a copy of the LP. Don't know that I'll ever find one (except for on Ebay). Rose McDowall re-released her solo stuff, which is really good too! It's a Skype interview but they still requested physical prints. I think I'm going to print my portfolio as presented or include more images from the series which comprises the majority of the portfolio in lieu of photos of the installation work. If the pieces are easy enough to bring with you, I think I'd do that. The panel would be able to better assess your craftsmanship, use of materials, etc.

Does anyone know if RISD or UCLA asks interview candidates to send in portfolios even for Skype interviews (if I should be so lucky!)? Thinking maybe it's wise to have two portfolios ready. The MassArt portfolio thing threw me for a loop!

No, but waiting impatiently on them and UCLA. I think RISD will send invitations next week.

Re: rejections leading to places better suited to your work. Love this perspective. Have any photo people heard from UNM, MassArt, or RISD?

The questions were pretty standard. There is a list of interview questions around here somewhere. Why grad school, why now? Why this program/how are you a good fit? What is your work about? What can you offer the program? What are you reading/who do you look to that has influenced your work?

Hmm, I checked the results page and looks like there was an acceptance as early as February 20th so maybe you're right!

Oh, and I think SFAI has rolling admissions.

I'm really hoping that you hear some good news! Did you add analytics to your site, by the way? UNM should be notifying soon (around the 20th) and ASU by mid April, I believe. I don't think either place conducts interviews. Can any one confirm that?
