So there's still hope!

My impression from what I've been told is that they send out around 20-25 interviews. I base this on what I've been told by my supervisors whose past students got into DePaul. On a side note, is it possible they would only have sent out a handful of interview offers today, and will send more over the weekend?

That's an impressive physical feat. How does one do that without dying?

Ugh.. I've given up for today. I hate that I have to wait until Wednesday my time to hear about anything now. But then, I might be able to get some work done now.

DePaul sent one (confirmed) interview invite. They can't be done for the day. They haven't gotten to me yet.

All of the listservs are pretty bad - the philosophy and French studies ones are ridiculous too. Those people are just so keen on their news.

I noticed on the DePaul Facebook page that they are running their graduate conference this weekend - this might have some bearing on when we'd hear from them. Edit: I said that and literally two minutes later someone else posted an interview offer. So..

Those bastards. Those greedy bastards.

I regret every single mailing list, every single newsletter, every student email that I get. It gives me a flicker of a ray of hope and then takes it back.

It's a bit easier being overseas 6.30am - wake up/check email 6.31am - check email again just in case 6.32am - toilet break 6.33am - restart phone in case its busted, check email rinse/repeat

Yeah.. that's what I hope for. My main supervisor has a lot of friends at this particular school. It's my highest hope..

I just realised one of my supervisors had an unsuccessful job interview at one of the schools I applied to and haven't heard from yet. If they didn't want him, they probs won't want me. Might as well count that as a rejection, right?

I feel if I really vent my feelings about DePaul and Villanova taking their time to consider the applicants, then I'd somehow jinx myself. But come on you guys, I just want to know, I don't even care if its a rejection (omg I care so much).

Not knowing is worse than rejections.. oops, wrote that in the wrong thread! Sorry However, I have heard from an admin person at Villanova that "the admissions process is well on the way". Whatever that means.
