  1. I also applied to SJU with the fee waiver before Christmas. I hope this doesn't mean a potential rejection. I suppose its still early, however my anxiousness is getting the best of me! Lol so far my only contact has been with LIU Post.
  2. Thought we should revive this forum. Anyone getting any response from NY schools yet? I'm hearing Queens, and Molloy have began contacting people. I am becoming anxious, checking my portal, email, and the gradcafe whenever i find a spare moment.
  3. I have had 1 interview so far. My friend told me to expect random questions like "whats your favorite tv show?" or "what do you do when your stressed" but I had speech based questions asking my experience, passion, etc. They also asked me to think about a time i observed a session and to explain - diagnosis, goals, what the clinician did, what i thought, ect. My advice to you is to be confident in all of your answers, and to be yourself. Best of luck!
  4. does anyone know if the April 15th deadline a real thing? I can't imagine that being true knowing schools give offers the week before classes even begin
  5. I am in a very similar boat as you, however applying to the New Yorks schools. I'm not sure which forum I saw it, but a student of Grand Valley expressed his grades which were average and similar, and he was accepted in a previous year! While everyone is stressing the importance of grades, I believe that a test or a score does not depict the type of person you are. You could be a genius with no people skills. I wish you the best of luck and am keeping my fingers crossed for students like ourselves!
  6. To my people applying to the New York schools: Anyone applying to Touro? I read on this forum a couple years ago that they do not do clinical placements. You have to go out and find your own. Anyone know anything about this? Do they still do that? Also, anyone else applying in the New York area hear from any schools yet?
  7. I had an interview last week and outside the personal questions they asked my experience in speech, and to think back on cases I've observed - diagnosis, what the clinician did, etC.
