  1. I was asking, because I was looking for a pattern...
  2. Actually, they told me (after I bugged them for a while) that we should know the results by mid-February. They did not reply to my follow-up with a q about interviews.
  3. I haven't heard a thing from Vanderbilt (besides the e-mail where they stated that they just wanted to touch base) either.
  4. How did you find the grad school in general? Housing, atmosphere, grad students, professors?
  5. Thank you! That sounds pretty awesome.
  6. Has anyone done proper research on Michigan funding?
  7. Yes, I am thinking the same thing. You do realize we are stressing out for nothing, right?
  8. I applied to CIS PhD. I gather you applied for MA? (Just trying to make some sense here).
  9. I have not gotten a thing as of now. What did you apply for?
  10. Thank you! I am going to start obsessing about it today!
  11. Should be sometime in the next 10 days.
  12. Interview invite, Michigan Ann Arbor, today, via e-mail.
  13. Interview invite, today via e-mail.
  14. Ok, this thread is sooo tiny... I'm sure it feels bad among to others. I will share my applicant profile here: GPA (undergrad, general): no idea (I graduated from an institution outside the US), but not impressive (in my university you had to ignore some courses, because they were deadly boring)/ My undergrad university does not even appear in the rankings (but I love it dearly, am devoted to it, and I write about it in my SOP) GPA (undergrad, major): no idea, but should be good GPA (grad, MA): should be awesome, I graduated with distinction. I did my MA at a bigger university, too. GRE: Q 154 V 165 AWA 4.0 (still killing me) TOEFL: 113 LORs: great and pretty lauding with lots of info & details SOP (both of them, as Michigan wants an academic one, and personal one): not sure. Lots of details about my experience and ambitions, but one doubts everything in mid January. Also - can a SOP be too passionate?!!! Mine is poetic, too. Experience: 1 year in a business school think tank in a big country that allowed me to actively consult top university management of top universities + the Ministry of Education itself + keynote speaker at a round table in another country devoted to the betterment of education.
  15. One of my schools has replied to my inquiry on when to expect the results (mid-February - please, or please let them come on St Valentine's day!), but not whether there are interviews for international students... Somehow I think it's the busiest time of the year for them.
  16. Congratulations! This is fantastic!!!
  17. You are Canadian - are you considered an international student?
  18. :/ Keep me posted if anything comes up.
  19. Does anyone have info on when the interview invites for different programs went our last year?
  20. Oh, there is a good way to make the best out of it. Just look hot, they'll be distracted.
