Relax, it just says you are AWESOME.
-
Ok, this is interesting... When did you ask? I've seen people reporting interview invites to Peabody on this forum (check the interviews thread in Education). I wonder whether what they call invites is actually just hanging out on their wonderful campus... In that case I, as an international student, am not to receive one... Trust me, finding this forum will make you more, not less obsessed.
-
Has any of the international applicants gotten an invite?
-
Thank you!
-
Forgot to ask one more thing - how did you get an interview invite? By e-mail? I got an e-mail from them yesterday stating that they were still reviewing my application.
-
Hope so :). Anxiously waiting.
-
Do you mind me asking when was the deadline?
-
Have you applied for PhD? Which program exactly?
-
+ 1. Share anything of importance.
-
For some reason I cannot access it. Can you pm it to me?
-
Me :). SHIPS PhD in Higher Ed.
-
And, according to the data you have collected, it is not possible that they are just sure you are perfect and do not need to interview you?
-
Not really clear... So is it technically possible that you still get accepted to the PhD program, or is it only possible that you are deferred into the EdM?
-
When do they usually write about interviews? And if someone is not invited for an interview, what will that mean?
-
You look like an ideal candidate to me. The only thing you need is a strong SoP, but in your case it's about not spoiling the image rather than building it.
-
Haha, yes! On the one hand, I want e-mails from them to come every single day, on the other - I trust that that much adrenaline released into my blood on daily basis will drain me completely.

Typo in HGSE Masters online application question
morifol replied to Huskyboy2015's topic in Education Forums
I truly believe that you are just going through too much stress right now to see things clearly. It's ONE TYPO. Proves you are HUMAN. That's all. You can write to someone and ask (make sure you are writing to a 'small' administrator, and not to someone who will actually be reading your app), or call (better - in that case you will be calmed at once) if that's what it takes for you to be able to sleep at night again, but, in my humble opinion, it is nothing. I am sure I have got typos in my apps, too. When you do write, I suggest to not specify what the typo is, but simply ask whether a typo can hurt your chances. -
Btw, PhD applicants, have you gotten the e-mail about campus? I liked that. A nice touch, eases one's waiting a little.
-
I didn't notice that... I suppose it's too late now anyway.
-
I think it's not the best way to put this question... First of all, they only become important if they are exceptional - exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. Then, it really depends on what you are applying for. MA?
-
Of course GPA is not all you've got! How were you supposed to have time for extracurriculars if you were minoring in both Japanese and Education? + you have Honors Societies participation + international experience + and even work experience. I feel your credentials are really strong!

I have a question to people who were accepted last year or maybe have done a better job researching than I have. What do you know about housing that HGSE PhD students can hope to get with the funding?.. How are things now with that? I've read Cambridge/Boston are really expensive in terms of real estate. And I will be relying on a scholarship only. I'm asking because I want to be truly excited about waiting, and not anticipate worrying of a different kind when I do get an offer....

Oh, come on. Everybody is in that mood. It's that time of the year, you know. All applications are submitted, the euphoria of having done it all (the GRE, the SOP, etc.) is gone, time for doubts. This is only healthy. Yet, the way you feel says nothing about your chances.
-
So sad. Mine was really pretty. I did the same. And filled lots of space with publications.

What did your guys do with your CV? Peabody application has literally no room for it.
