  1. Is anyone else still waiting to hear from Waterloo and queens?
  2. This wait tho.... BRUH
  3. Wow I still haven't received an email from them. I wonder if that means I'm rejected
  4. I was rejected from mcmaster a few weeks ago!
  5. How did you find out?
  6. Also when and how did you hear back from UofT?
  7. Hey! Sorry to hear about your rejections. Did the rejection letter specifically state that it's because of the lack of experience? I got experience in public health through co-op, volunteer internships at health organizations, and a 4th year thesis. It was a lot of work doing this and i gained this experience throughout my undergrad. Send me me a personal message and I can give you more information about how I went about it! (Though I have a rejection from mcmaster, and still waiting on others).
  8. Hey! when is your deadline to respond to Queens?
  9. I agree with the above two people! But still cant see your CV!
  10. Hey! Congrats i guess! Were you contacted via email?
  11. Same boat as you!!
  12. Got rejected for McMasters MPH via email just a few minutes ago
  13. Congrats to those of you who have been accepted! Anyone know when rejections are sent out? LOL
  14. Good luck yall! Did anyone apply to MSc in public health and health systems at waterloo?
  15. I should specify... Queens MPH
  16. Anyone confused about the Queens application? On the website it says there's a separate section for the statement of interest but on the actual application there isn't.
  17. Hey guys! Does anyone have any idea on how strict word counts are for letters of intent are? I'm talking about 20-30 words over the limit max. Thanks!
  18. Hey, I'm also on the fence about those. What are your concerns?
  19. Hey, No its not only for nurses and doctors. https://www.lakeheadu.ca/academics/graduate/programs/masters/public-health/node/7256 admission requirements do not state this. Also, my friend went straight out of undergrad to that program! Hope this helps.
  20. Hi all! Does anyone seem to know the main pros and cons between these two programs? I want to apply to one, but I cannot decide which one. The HRM seems really good to me and has a co-op option whereas the MPH is 1 year and is a relatively new program. Any insight to any of these programs will be greatly appreciated! Best, T
  21. Hey everyone! Thanks for all participating in this forum. In order to help each other out more, when saying what offers you received or any rejections, please specify GPA for last two years (and what scale, 4.33 or 4.0 etc) so that others applying have a feel for what they need to get accepted. We all know that these programs have a 3.3 minimum GPA (on a 4.0 scale) but that usually does not cut it! So please mention what it is THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AND BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!
  22. Hey guys! Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on my situation. My last year gpa is a 3.33. I want to apply to UofTs EPI program but I don't know if I'm competitive enough. My experiences are pretty good. I have a lot of quantitative and qualitative research experience through coop and work study jobs throughout undergrad. I also have a lot of volunteer experiences throughout my undergraduate year. My references are solid as well, as I have one from my employer, and two from professors I did research with. Also had one of my papers published in an undergraduate journal. Anyone care to share if they think I should stay back to boost my gpa or apply because I have somewhat of a shot? Thanks
