  1. I let the professor who would serve as my adviser that I was waitlisted, and he said that he'll try and move things along from his side. Aside from that, I guess I just have to twiddle my thumbs until my status changes.
  2. Thanks for your encouraging words! Congrats on getting accepted!
  3. Oh, I did and I've come to the conclusion that you clearly haven't. Feel free to continue downvoting all my posts. I'm done responding to you. Nothing to gain from arguing with someone on the internet.
  4. I was told by the program director that I am one of two who are on the waitlist. Also, you can leave you condescending attitude at the door thanks.
  5. If anyone got into UCSF's Epidemiology and Translational Science PhD program and doesn't plan on accepting, PLEASE dear god reject the offer ASAP. I got wait-listed and UCSF is my first choice school.
  6. Thanks! Quite frankly, I was surprised I was invited for an interview. The person I spoke with said that they received nearly a hundred applications this year and only offered interviews to 12 people.
  7. This FAQ page is specifically written for the Population Health Sciences PhD program. Hm...
  8. I had a panic attack reading this comment. haha I just checked the Population Health Sciences FAQ page (http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/phdphs/admissions-faq/) and found this: Is the admission based on some entry test and/or interview or is done on the basis of the academic history? Applications are reviewed on the basis of academic credentials, GPA, GRE, TOEFL, prior research and work experience, statement of purpose, recommendations and a writing sample. No other entry test or interview is required. I spoke with a rep from this department in October, and she said that the department doesn't plan on interviewing candidates. Maybe it's case specific?
  9. I guess I'm a little late to this party! I applied to: UCSF (Epi Translational Science) Berkeley (Epi) Yale (Chronic Disease Epi) Hopkins (Population, Family and Reproductive Health) Harvard (Population Health Sciences) I had my first interview with UCSF earlier this week, and I have one with Hopkins at the end of the month. Best of luck, everyone!
