  1. The email came from the program director and official notification should come from the school as well is what we were told.
  2. Thanks @dandadadan for sharing info regarding pending fin aid decisions & congratulations on the acceptance.
  3. Congratulations @Pszczolka for the acceptance to BU! Would you be open to sharing the financial aid package offered to you once you find out? I think applicants could benefit from any info we gather around what students are getting offered in terms of support as DrPH candidates. @DraPHt2016 I will be interviewing with them too although I'm not exactly thrilled about the drive up to Athens at the crack of dawn to get there by 8:15AM.
  4. will those already accepted into the Harvard DrPH program be open to speak towards the financial packages you're being offered? curious what that looks like... thanks!
  5. I am really hoping for support on some level (merit based scholarships, GRA opportunities) even though I am fully aware that DrPH programs are not known for offering funding. The presence or absence of support will impact my decision in the end on whether there are opportunities to offset the cost of living and tuition. If not, I will probably go to a local program and work + pay for school or do a FT PhD program with funding support if I have that option on the table.
  6. @CrimsonEyes indeed, their response on the interviews has been consistent so far. October 30th does feel like a long long time ago! I submitted mine on Dec 15th which was the day it was due. The best part though is that we are that much closer to finding out.
  7. @CrimsonEyes Thank you for the update! This info is definitely interesting given that the scheduled interviews have not taken place yet. In past years, there were also waves of interview requests reported. Its been quiet on that front since the first wave went out this year in the last week of Jan. All good info for future applicants to keep in mind. Wonder what (if anything) changed? Oh how I wish we could see what's behind the adcom veil.
  8. @ph_phd Looking at the results board, I do not see any reports for UC Berkeley yet.
  9. @drph_phd_hopeful thanks for sharing details on the interview request & best wishes for the interview!
  10. Good luck to you too! I discovered the DrPH at Tufts way late in the game. It looked interesting for sure. Let's hope we hear from these programs soon-ish!
  11. Thank you, that was indeed very helpful! A lot of these factors are something I have in mind as well. The interview process sounds intense. I wonder with 20-30 minute time slots just how much can get articulated regarding your vision for the program. I have also considered the benefits of working and pursuing a degree simultaneously versus doing it F/T. Each option has its own merits. It is very helpful to hear your thought process around your decision making based on the options I'm weighing currently as well (cost of living, losing an income and years of experience etc.) Good luck with all your apps! Look forward to hearing more from you soon.
  12. I am not entirely sure at this point. To me it seems like only those interviewed get considered for acceptance but it could be that those who were accepted without one never posted about it. I have not received an interview invite either so let's keep our fingers crossed.
  13. Hi, so far it seems interviews are trickling out for Harvard, GWU & Columbia (Columbia DrPH interview last week reported on the Student Doctor Forum). Good luck with your apps! You mentioned having gotten accepted to two programs in previous years. Please do share your overall experience and why you decided to wait it out and apply again.
  14. Congratulations on the interview! Would you feel comfortable sharing your stats, (GPA, scores, research/program interests, years of experience etc.) and any info included within the email (e.g. when the interviews are being conducted/how many applicants versus interview invites etc.)? Based on posts from previous years, it looks like interviews last 20-30 minutes with the format being a casual conversation. Given that the program is so new, there does seem to be a lot of questions about the application process. Case in point, I was informed by the admissions office that interviews are not a formal step and only conducted when "points of clarification" are needed. Historically, that does not seem to be the case. It definitely seems those interviewed are on the short list to being accepted so def. a good sign overall.
