I'm turning down an offer from Pitt and UMass Amherst tomorrow. I hope this info can help someone out

I would say hold out. I had assumed that the last two schools I was still waiting on had rejected me. Turns out one actually did (received letter today), but the other emailed me a few days ago and had rejected me from PhD, but accepted me to MA. So, it's not completely out of the picture that you could still get some *decent* news. I'm visiting schools shortly, too. I'm really excited to finally be able to make a decision after visiting some programs. Good luck with it all--

In one of my applications, I said my interests were "composition pedagogy, digital media studies, digital media studies..." Luckily, they accepted me still! One of my professors said they probably just thought I was really enthusiastic about digital media studies ha.

There are funded MAs--I applied to some of them this year in case I didn't get into PhD programs. Miami University, University of Louisville, and Illinois State University are the ones I applied to, but I know there are others! Good luck!

OSU's open house isn't until the end of the month. I plan to make a decision after I visit. I would bet that's what others are waiting for, too.

I got my acceptance email early this morning, too!
