I haven't heard a peep--didn't have an interview. I'm assuming I didn't get in, but was just looking for confirmation. I'm weighing a couple of other programs where I've been accepted, so I'm just looking to complete the process. I'm doing 19th/20th c. US.
Are you applying for the MA or PhD? On the history department's website, under the funding tab it says:
"Prospective students: All applicants for admission are considered for the Department aid for which they are eligible. A separate application for Departmental funding is not required, although we encourage applicants to simultaneously apply for external fellowships (e.g., Foreign Language and Area Studies) for which they may be eligible."
Maybe it's a good sign?
Hey guys, that was me, a lurker. My POI had suggested in November that I contact them in the beginning of February to talk about my potential fit. They just got back to me this week and gave me the bad news after they'd contacted the DGS, who said "official letters will go out this week." I'm a 19th/20thc. Americanist (labor/immigration.) That's all I've got for ya. Best of luck!
