  1. Hi everyone! I'm strongly considering this program, mainly because it seems like a good fit for my research interests and the funding/T.A. opportunity is pretty generous for a terminal MA program. I'm seeking any insight from current/past UConn MA students (info from phd students would be useful as well). I'm curious about how many MA students the program admits (I can't seem to find any information on their website) and about students' experiences teaching freshman English. I see that I would need to start teaching during my first semester, which makes me a bit apprehensive, and I'm wondering if people found the week long orientation to be enough to prepare them. Any other info would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. I received the same two emails, and I did email someone for more details about funding. All I got was a vague answer saying they're still figuring out funding and to "bear with them." This was maybe a week and a half ago.
  3. I contacted them, all they told me was they're still reviewing applications...
  4. I hadn't, mainly because it seems like other people haven't had much luck with communication. But now that you've said that, I probably will. Who's the best person to contact to actually get a response?
  5. I applied to the MA program, still haven't heard anything, and my status online hasn't changed. I'm assuming I'm either on some sort of unofficial waitlist, or that I have to contact someone to get the rejection.
  6. I have also been admitted with partial funding and have the exact same questions!
  7. Anyone heard anything from Boston College? I haven't seen any PhD or MA acceptances, and it seems like in the past they've generally gotten back to people around the last week of February...
