Don't cry!! U of T was a difficult school and I'm proud of you!! I'm the first to go to university as well, my parents don't speak English. You'll get accepted, with all of that experience from the public sector -

PSH you are more wise than me lol I didn't get an acceptance or waitlist last week when the offers went out and I thought I got rejected, but thanks to everyone on the forum, they're right you shouldn't assume you got rejected simply because you haven't heard from them!! Do not freak out like I did, but in my justification, I only applied to one school so the stakes were up a notch I wouldn't pay attention to what SGS status says "under review" or whatever, because I did get rejected from another program at U of T via mail and it says "under review" not decision made. All that matters is your email inbox and know that offers go well into April so don't get upset if you haven't heard!! Please don't hesitate to message me personally to rant or talk lol, I do hope you get accepted so you could all me wise throughout the program and also because you're awesome I'd imagine -
Of course!! So don't be scared if you haven't heard back today, they'll email you very soon!!

Omg guys, I got an offer of admission!! Very weird considering they sent out the first round offers last Monday and I don't think they do the second round offers until mid April!! You guys were right in saying that I shouldn't have assumed it was a rejection!! So those who haven't heard back, do go on your email!! -

WHAT?! Mind me asking what are your stats? Because I think you are very qualified, if you got into Carleton and Johnson Shoyama (not sure what Johnson is, but getting into grad school on its own means you're top notch) Did you get a scholarship for both? Thank you so much for all your love -

Thank you so much!! I'm really not a competitive person with other people, I'm glad those who got accepted got accepted!! I am really competitive with myself though, so I think that I messed up my application. The idea of having an internship and being able to work with colleagues (hence, why the competitive feeling?) is such an amazing thing!! Let me know about the waitlist. -

Thank you for sharing!! I got really emotional over this lol, I was crying because I didn't get an email about the waitlist so I'm thinking I got rejected. Because it's either acceptance, waitlist or rejection right? The waitlist people are the second round of offers I think so yeah, I guess no opportunity at an offer for me. Thank you for your encouragement lol, we could PM each other to talk, you're very kind!! -

I think it means by the 15th of April at the latest because I think that's the date they want people in the first round to reply by? That's very interesting, that they're suggesting that there might not be a second round :/ Waitlist is better than rejection Let me know if they tell you more!! -

Did it say on SGS that a decision was made? I thought that they send out the first offers, wait a bit to hear back from them and then send out the second offers in April and do that until the class is full, then they notify people on what their status is waitlist or rejection? JTMurray said that their first round last year went for a week and some heard on Thursday. Perhaps them telling you that you're on a waitlist means that you're one of those shortlisted candidates who has a tentative position if the first offers don't accept (suggesting that you're in the second round of applicants), whereas I have my status as "under review"? :/ Good luck *hugs* -

Hello, I went on my email and I have not received it. Are we talking about U of T SPPG or a different school? -

You go to the post you want to reply to and click quote Thank you so much for sharing and providing an insight as to what they are looking for. The TA, research intern and qualitative quantitative skills made it an awesome application I think, in addition to your amazing gpa. This was very helpful! Thank you and I'm glad you're going to be able to pursue those career goals upon admission!! Alina, I also have not been notified so I know how you feel! With your GPA and extracurriculars (the research assistant), I am sure you would get in. Your application is really great on its own merits!! According to JTMurray, first round acceptances go on for the week and some have heard on Thursday, so let's hope we both get in this round!! In terms of my own stats, I have a 3.92 cGPA at U of T. I have volunteered at a constituency office as a data entry worker working with qualitative and quantitative data for two years, phone reception talking with constituents and inputting their policy concerns onto the database and I am currently volunteering for an advisory group where I have been gaining knowledge on budgetary spending and the policy process. I sent in my letter of intent for a professor to look at and she made one suggestion and said that the letter looked really good. I have not had my status as ''decision made'' so I do not know what they would think of me. Lol I have been driving my friends, family and colleagues crazy with all this grad school talk and I'm glad I have found a community that is understanding of these feelings -

Thank you so much for your wisdom!! My thought was that they tend to send the offers out to the most desirable candidates and if I don't hear back so fast, I'm not as competitive. I mean, all of you people are talented. I could message you my stats if you'd like. My anxiety is based on a rejection I got from another program at U of T, one that I'm not as passionate about though, so basically I'm scared of rejection, as I only applied to these two programs. -

Congrats to allie22, teedee, theracon for your acceptances! Do you mind sharing your stats with us? My status says under review and I'm really anxious. How do the different rounds of offers work? Do they send the offers out in batches for a round or all at once? As in those of you who have heard today, is that ALL of round one or a batch of round one? If anyone knows, this would be very helpful! Good luck everyone and let me say how I love how supportive this forum is!!
