That's a little worrisome... I'm also a mature student though, so I'll be sticking it out Any idea if they're going to have to shuffle/create classes due to the size? @chg38 based on the onboarding packet from last year, it looks like there were 18 total (12 Track I and 6 Track II).

@chg38 he did email me back, but didn't mention the externship situation. He said "Our financial support budget is capped, so we won’t support as many students." <- regarding the GA positions I went to the visitation that was scheduled for April 8th, and I heard from the current students that the class size is around 40 students. Dr. Loncke talked a little bit about externships as well. He said that generally you have your externship two days a week and you won't have classes on those days. So even if the externship is far, we wouldn't have to rush back to campus for class. I'm still likely going to accept too.

I got the email from Dr. Robey too. I've emailed him back and asked what "considerable distances away from Charlottesville" actually means. I also asked about how it will affect GA positions - I really want one of those. Will let you know what I hear back

Hi! I'm an out-of-field SLP applicant and I'm having a tough time deciding between schools. I've been accepted to both UVA and Syracuse University and I keep wobbling between them. They're both really great programs (as far as I can tell) and both would mean myself and my husband moving from the DC area, but we're prepared for that. I'm wondering if anyone could shed light on what being in either program would actually be like, or if anyone has been accepted to one or both schools and why they did or did not accept them. Also - I've been out of school for several years, so any advice from folks who went back to school after a period of time would be very welcome
