  1. I think you'll be fine taking those two courses. I found 2500 very manageable. 3100 can be tough especially if you haven't taken an anatomy course before, so I think it's good to pair those two courses together. I worked full-time while taking at least 2 courses at USU per semester... one semester I took three You'll be fine as long as you manage your time well!
  2. My COMD prereqs are from Utah State since I'm an out-of-field applicant (vocal performance undergrad). I was accepted at the University of South Carolina, James Madison University, and I was waitlisted at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. I was rejected from UNC-Greensboro, however, a school that tends to only accept a few out-of-field applicants. Based on my experience with the application process, I don't think my USU courses hindered me in any way.
  3. Got the rejection from the waitlist at UNC-Chapel Hill last night. Actually kind of relieved because I'm moving to Columbia, SC this Sunday to start my summer prereqs. Now I can breathe!
  4. I feel kind of surprised I've heard so little about waitlist changes so far. I know it fell on a Friday, but I was expecting to hear more at this point.
  5. I'm lucky because I was accepted to a couple of schools, but I'm on the waitlist at a school nearby. My plan is to move out of state for one of the schools that starts in the summer, but if I were to get in off the waitlist at the school that's local, then I won't be moving. I'm planning to move May 1st, so this sure is a nail-biter!

    Loan Max

Hi, this may seem like an obvious question, but I didn't take out federal loans for my undergrad so I don't have much experience with this. I thought that the annual amount for federal unsubsidized direct loans was $20,500, but it appears that based on my FAFSA the university I've committed to has awarded me about $16K in unsubsidized federal loans per semester. Does that make sense? Am I missing something or does that exceed the annual cap? Thanks!
